Nice hotel with courteous staff. Good American food to go with. Overall a descent place for you to stay in. Nice neighbourhood with quick access to shopping areas and eateries.

One can probably gey good rates if you plan your trio properly.

I'm normally pleased with this hotel but parking is an issue. I'm a rewards member and get a parking pass to park in the rewards only parking but alas the spaces are always taken by patrons of the bar Louie. What's the point of the pass when noone monitors those spaces?. I hope this improves in the future.

This was our first visit to this property. The front desk staff were friendly and attentive. Check-in and check-out was painless. Surprisingly the hallway to the room seemed dark, low and somewhat dated. However, the room was clean and comfortable. Bar Louie, located in the lobby, was a convenient way to start (breakfast buffet) and end the day.
Table service was great. Free parking. Convenience store in lobby area was helpful. This hotel is conveniently located to great shopping, restaurants and corporate offices. It's also convenient to interstate access to downtown Chicago (via the Eisenhower).

Room tip: Top floor away from the elevator was very quiet

Dear trtzw,

Thank you for posting a candid feedback from your recent stay with us. It is great to know that you were able to appreciate the service provided by our front desk staff, room condition, breakfast, and parking among the others. However, I was concerned to see that you were not impressed with our hallway. I would like to apologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you during your stay. Rest assured, your comments will be shared with our management team to properly address your concern.

Again, thank you for the review and I hope that we would have another chance to accommodate you again in the future.

Regards,

I noticed there were a huge number of Indians staying at this hotel. In the lobby I saw the crew from Air India waiting to load for a bus ride to the airport. The whole place needs upgrading. The hallways were all one color with no pattern in the carpeting or prints on the walls. The bathroom tiles could use some bleach. This is the first time I had to pay for breakfast because we used reward points for our room. However, Bar Louis was the saving grace and had excellent food.

BessW,
Thank you for your comments, particularly those regarding people you perceive to be of Indian descent. Yes, you did see a crew from Air India waiting in the lobby to be transported to the airport, in the same manner that we have transported crews from United, American and Delta. We make no distinction between people and warmly welcome all guests no matter their race or ethnic background. I am sorry that you believe our doing so necessitates our need for "upgrading" to a better class of guest but we shall never compromise the value we place on our guests, no matter from where in the world they may hale.

I apologize for your perception that you did not receive a free breakfast because your stay was on reward points. That was not the case. Brand standards for full service Holiday Inns do not provide for a free breakfast because we have dedicated restaurants serving freshly prepared cooked-to-order items.

We thank you for your business.

The hotel was very accommodating, as when we arrived we had an issue with our room and they upgraded us to a larger room for free. Its nice having bar louie downstairs so you don't have to go far for a late snack or drink. The only improvement I would say would be on the WIFI it goes out often and is very hard to connect, but it may have also been because of were our room was located. I would also suggest stating clearly what foods are offered for room service only
