My daughter and I stayed at this hotel while visiting Chicago. It is an easy drive to downtown and all the craziness. We enjoyed the suite. The bathroom was HUGE!! There is a tub and separate glass shower. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who likes a nice large hotel room.

Clean, good location to Orland Square Mall and down the road from another mall. Drury Lane theater adjacent to the hotel. Did not see a show this trip though. Like the suite..living room with couch and tv eith wet bar, fridge, and microwave. Large bathroom with glass shower and separate tub. It was very nice for the price!

We has stayed somewhere else while in Chicago and then took a two day trip to Ohio before returning to Chicago. Needed a room for our final night before flying out the next day and decided to splurge a little and get a really nice room. This hotel exceeded our expectations! The one bedroom suite room was great. The bed and pillows were wonderful and the bedroom was very dark allowing one to fall asleep quickly. The separate living room containing it's own flat panel TV allowed me to stay up late and watch TV with out disturbing the rest of the family while they slept in the bedroom. Our room had a narrow balcony next to the living room which gave us a great view. The living room had a nice bar with a small sink and a microwave and a refrigerator. The bathroom had a tub along with a separate shower. The overall feel of the room was just very very luxurious. The indoor pool/spa was roomy and nice and well stocked with plenty of towels. The fitness room was large and had more than enough equipment available. Plenty of luggage carts on hand to assist you in getting your luggage to and from your room. Getting back into the hotel can be a little tricky especially if you are coming from the east. Not a big deal if you are prepared. There is no way to turn left of off Roosevelt which is the main road running parallel in front of Drury Lane. If you are heading west on Roosevelt you will have to take SR83 south then take Butterfield east to get back to the hotel. Overall a very wonderful stay and would definitely return if we were ever in the area again.

I am a regular Hilton chain patron.
I have stayed at this property on two occasions, each for 3 nights over a long weekend.
There is good and bad depending upon your needs.

The Good:
The staff is excellent. They are attentive to all needs and patient. The rooms were clean. We received an upgrade on our last visit. The breakfast is very good as well as it is a full buffet with hot and cold options. But the staff are to be commended as they were excellent, especially Patricia and Steven.

The Bad:
I have two concerns that will most likely prevent my family from staying at this property again. You can read my opinions, then decide for yourself whether this is a dealbreaker or not.

1 - The hotel is adjacent to a Hilton Garden Inn with a large parking lot and event center / theatre in between the two. On both occasions of staying here, there were large groups staying at the property that were attending events at the event center next door, including weddings and family reunions. This means that groups return to the hotel later in the evening en masse. Well after 10pm, we have heard and been disturbed by kids running along the landings on the floors, and very loud, belligerent, and presumably intoxicated adults not acting much better.

The levels of noise are amplified by the fact that this is an atrium style building, wherein there are 10 floors of rooms that nearly all open up to a wide open atrium that is 10 stories high. All of the rooms are constructed along the exterior walls, and thus it causes for major echoes and noise all around the interior of the hotel. Even if there are groups being loud several floors below, you will hear them as they walk to their rooms, or converse on the ground floor. If you have a family or kids and wish to have some peace and quiet in the evening so that your kids can go to bed, it may be a difficult task on the weekends.

2 - This is more of an infrastructure issue. As mentioned above, this is an atrium style hotel, wherein all floors have a landing that wraps around the entire floor and is open to the 10 story atrium at the center of the hotel. It is seemingly an older hotel by the looks of its construction (although well appointed and generally well updated). My specific concern is regarding the width of the bars that are the railings. Out of curiosity, we measured the width with relation to our toddler's head and concluded that a small child could squeeze through the railings. We would never allow our child to walk on the landings alone, but I saw numerous children running unsupervised around the landings.

Our suite also had an attached balcony which at first glance was very nice until I saw the gaping holes on either corner of the balcony. Once again we measure, and once again we concluded that both openings were large enough for children to fit through, so we kept the balcony door locked for our entire stay.

This infrastructure safety concern together with the concerns of the groups that we've encountered on both stays at the hotel have most likely dissuaded us from booking at this property again, or will at least relegate this hotel to a second tier choice when visiting the Chicago area once again.

The hotel itself is fine and clean and the staff was outstanding. Unfortunately, that cannot overcome our safety concerns, nor our dissatisfaction with the hotel patrons we've encountered at this property.

I would recommend this hotel as it is a great value and an excellent area. Perhaps your experience with other hotel guests will be different. If you do not have kids, our infrastructure safety concerns will most likely not apply to you.

Safe travels.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the elevators. Hotel guests returning from parties at the event center next...

Other than disinfectant not being available to clean the gym equipment, this was a great hotel for the price. The breakfast was great and was included in the package we purchased. Very healthy options available. The staff was very helpful and very kind.

Absolutely loved this Hotel, first, this location is in the Suburbs of Chicago, very lovely area, it is convienently located off the freeway. It is on the property with a wonderful Conference Center, and another Hilton hotel. The Hilton Garden Inn Suites is clean, well furnished, the suites has a nice sitting area, patio, area nicely setup with sink, refridge, microwave, coffee/tea pot and supplies, a desk and chair as well, the suite with two beds is quite large, and cleaned daily. The bedroom is separate from the livingroom and the Bathroom is wonderful, OMG. It has two entryways to the bathroom one from livingroom and one from bedroom, it has a separate area for the toilet, and it has a full shower with clear shower doors and a full tub, I loved the bathroom. If only I had one like that at home. lol. The suites are centered around an atrium, you can walk to the banister and look over and down to see the resturant that is open for Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner. It has several conference rooms for use, and pool, jacuzzi, and exercise room, as well as a store. My only negative is, that I found the front desk staff to be a little unfriendly and curt. I saw one of the staff on Facebook. But not all, some were very accomodating. I highly recommend the Hilton Gardens Inn Suites Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois, I would ablsolutely stay again.

Room Tip: The rooms with two beds are larger, although the rooms with One King is a good size too, just the ro...

We were so pleased with our weekend stay. The room accommodated our family of five so nicely. When we requested more towels, they were provided. When we went to breakfast, we were immediately served coffee and attended to with smiles. Our children had a great time at the pool. It was super! Thank you!
