“Take the Guided Tour if Possible”
Reviewed July 18, 2013

We took the Wright Plus Home Guided Tour. The Guided tour is of the neighborhood around the FLW Home and Studio. It is offered only on weekends. If you reserve it on line you will not get the guided tour, but the self guided tour. You need to call the FLW Home and Studio to get advance tickets to the Guided Neighborhood tour. Lots of people go on these tours. It is a good idea to make advance reservations.

“Excellent, but hard on the feet and knees!”
Reviewed June 19, 2013

You get to see 9-10 homes. Not every one is a FLW one, though, so some are a bit disappointing. nevertheless, it's a great experience, but it's a long day, walking, standing in lines, etc.

Having been a former volunteer docent at the FLW home and studio, this is indeed an interesting walking tour. If you love architecture along with learning about and admiring Frank Lloyd Wright in general, you will like this experience.

“Great Architectural Walking Tour, Frank Loyd Wright and Others”
Reviewed June 1, 2013

The Annual Wright Plus Home Walk is always enjoyable, and Oak Park is a great venue. The tour is not limited to Wright and has numerous historic homes of several styles. The volunteers at each house provide great insight into the original owners and the architects. This year they had volunteers making presentations as you waited in line, sometimes about nearby houses of significance. The weather was sunny, and not too warm this year.
