This building and the services in it are a profound testament to our human spirit. The architecture is far beyond my laymans language to describe, but the lines of franklloyd wright's vision are simultaneously simple and complex, centering and expansive. The congregation that resides in the structure can be described in the same way.

If you ever in the area you must go to see the Temple. The design and architecture are amazing, Impressive yet intimate.

I love Frank Lloyd Wright but it was one room and one self-guided tour. I did not learn anything but enjoyed the time inside the church. However, for $15 you can learn a whole lot more on a guided tour of F.L.Wright's first home so if you are short on time, do the $15 tour. Takes 10 min to tour the church.

always take out of towners to the f l wright district - wright was a genius and the oak park assortment is unreal.
unity temple can be appreciated even though it sems to be in a constant state of repair - all-concrete deteriorates.
but it's beauty is pretty obvious.
fwiw my 1st time inside was to see a concert by john fahey - bad night for fahey, but i got to walk around everywhere.

Walking back to the train from FLW Home and Studio - we stopped in. We only went into the Common room and not the sanctuary
