“Great location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 11, 2008

Road-tripping this summer with the boyfriend and the dog. Wound up in this suburb of Chicago. Got a good rate online. Hotel seems like its brand new. Very nice and clean. Girl at check-in had a serious attitude!Everyone else was very nice while we were there. Our room was very cmfortable. The bedroom was a bit small though. It was great having a kitchen with the fridge. And since we were on the road for so long, also used the laundry facilities. No problems there. The hotel is right down the road from a mall and many restaurants-the Reel Club was excellent! We also got delivery pizza for lunch one day from Giordano's. How convenient! Also, the hotel is right off the interstate so it was a great location for us. We barely noticed the street noise from the room. I Highly recommend and will stay here if I return.

We stayed here with our young kids for a short visit. This was a terrific hotel. We were warmly greeted upon arrival. Our room had all we could ask for, a king size bed, pull-out queen-size couch, and a nice kitchenette with fridge, microwave, and stove. We also had a two-person counter to eat at. The only real complaint was that we didn't have much silverware, only one fork.

Breakfast was complementary and was well stocked, with eggs, oatmeal, meats, cereals, pastries, coffee, juice, and a belgian waffle station. It wasn't too crowded and there were plenty of places to sit.

We didn't use the pool, but we peeked in and it was fairly large, with numerous families frolicking. There is also a fitness center and business center. Internet access was included, with wireless or wired access in every room (and great signal strength for wireless).

The location is a bit strange, it's in the back of an office park, which is rather quiet on the weekends. Down the road is a large mall with a number of restaurant choices. Numerous places deliver to the hotel as well.

We've stayed in many residence inns and always feel we get our money's worth, we certainly felt that way here.

From the moment we checked in to the next morning when we left to catch our plane, our experience was nothing less than excellent. Although a bit tricky to find (as described by others), this hotel stands out above most of the others. We checked in just after the complimentary happy hour ended, but the manager decided to keep it open for us, as well as a few others who got in late. Each of the employees working there had something nice to say, making sure that we were comfortable. The happy hour included not only beer and wine, but also hot dogs, brownies, chips, veggies and other selections.
Our room was a two bedroom suite with a fold out couch in the living area with a gas fireplace! Our two teenagers enjoyed having their own rooms with TVs, and we enjoyed the privacy as well.
In the morning before leaving I made use of the exercise room, which included two treadmills, free weights, a weight machine and a few other options (as well as two TVs).
Breakfast was well presented for a hotel's complimentary hot breakfast. offering a wide variety of healthy and not-so-healthy items.
I highly recommend this hotel as a place to stay near O'Hare. It's hard to beat.

I stayed here for two weeks while attending a course. I picked the hotel for the location and facilities. Great hotel - large clean rooms that were in good order. I'd booked a one bedroom suite so I could have some space to work. The public area's were well maintained
and the free breakfast was pretty good. The staff were helpful, especially the two English girls working at the front desk.

On the minus side the pool was shut for a week while it was being refurbished but the gym was open.

If I'm back in Chicago I would stay here again.

Stayed at the Residence Inn at Oak Brook for a business trip for two nights. I was put into a handicap accessible room, which meant I didn't have a separate bedroom just one large room. It was spacious and functional.

Pros: Great breakfast included with stay. Very nice staff. Clean hotel with large rooms.

Cons: Bed wasn't terribly comfortable. Finding the property was an adventure (it's behind an office park). No desk - however the kitchen table served just as well.

All in all, not bad though I would only stay there for business travel if my client were close by (as long as you don't need a large desk). There are other nicer properties down the street in Lombard (Westin).

I was attending an event at the Wyndham nearby and couldn't get a room there, so I chose the Residence Inn. It was less than a mile away and reasonably priced.

The hotel had all of the things that I like in a budget hotel -- a good room, guest laundry, free breakfast, and free WiFi.

The room was large and had a kitchen with an island. No stove or oven but a microwave and full-sized refrigerator. For extended stays, this would probably be a very good option.

The bathroom was clean and the sink was in the area outside the bath, which is always a convenient touch, I find. The closet was a bit small but again, smartly located.

The free breakfast was surprisingly good and a notch above what you usually get, with fresh scrambled, eggs, sausage patties, and potatoes, to go along with the usual cold cereals, yogurt and pastries, which are typically the only choices you find at these free breakfasts. They even had one of those make-your-own waffle stations.

They even had a free shuttle that ran me over to the Wyndham every morning, eliminating the nuisance and expense of having to call a taxi every day.

Now for the bad part.

This place is rather hard to find. My driver the first night I arrived couldn't find it and had to drive around aimlessly until we called the hotel and they gave up directions. I had the exact same thing happen with the shuttle driver from the Wyndham, who worked less than a mile away and he still couldn't find it! It is located in one of those small office parks, and the hotel itself is not visible from the street. So if you are going to stay there, do yourself a favor and bring along a google map and good directions.

Other than this small annoyance, this is a great option if you're staying in the area.

Really nice place to stay, good breakfast and afternoon reception. Rooms are super nice, plenty of room for anything you would need to do. Nicely furnished, full size refrigerator, micro, stove, dishwasher etc... I was here on buss. and enjoyed the stay. Hotel is not next to anything like a restaraunt but they are only a short ways down the road. Wouls stay here again, no problem at all.
