This is our favorite restaurant in the aurora area. The chef is innovative with creative and unique dishes and cocktails. Beware the martinis are strong, and delicious! One of my favorite dishes is the calamari salad, great when dining al freco on a summer day. as fall comes, enjoy their fireplaces on the outdoor patio, ot the indoor fire pit when meeting friends for drinks.

The indoor decor is vintage horse racing with many menu items and menu layout inspired by this theme. On the opposite side of their colorful bar is an Off Track Betting area.

This restaurant never lets me down. The ingredients always seem to be fresh. The meals and staff are wonderful. The restaurant is a bit dark in the evening. The washroom doors look like stall doors with horses names on them. It is just a great place.

This restaurant has great food. We ordered the cobb salad, shrimp linguini, and the "chez" chops meets the 3 little pigs. That last dish is truly a meat lover's delight. So much food, so little time. The bad part of the dinner was that we were sitting in a corner that was sooo dark that we could barely make out what we were eating .We mentioned it to the staff, but were told that that's the way it was. They could have brought us extra candles to make it even a little better. After dinner walked over to the horse racing room where you can place bets. We should have bet on having a better lit table.

The previous reviews have given a good sense of just how...eclectic this place is. I would like to add that I've eaten here probably four times over the past couple of years. Although the menu doesn't change often (a point made by another reviewer), it does change a bit. And they always have something on special, which is almost always worth trying. This is clearly a place for foodies. The food is creative and you won't find anything like it at another restaurant. I think the chef is a little crazy, but in a good way! The plates that come out are both playful and incredibly tasty. Given the price point, you can't beat it anywhere. The waitstaff is clearly educated about the food, as well, and they are able to discuss any item. In fact, I seem to recall being told once that they were required to have tried everything on the menu. Finally, the wine list is quite good, and reasonable priced. Try the Turf Room...you won't be disappointed. (Oh, but make a reservation first. They're on Open Table.)

We went to The Turf Room on a Saturday evening to celebrate a graduation and a birthday. The location is a bit out of the way, but it was well worth finding. The rooms are decorated quite nicely in a horse racing style and the entire place is warm and inviting. We chose to sit inside although there is a very nice patio. There was a large crowd but we had made reservations and were promptly seated. The menu is a good mix of choices and there is a large wine menu and a martini/specialty drink menu that yields numerous choices. Our meal started with Lobster Corn Dogs as an appetizer, which sounds unusual, but tasted great. There were 5 of us and there was enough to share. Everyone praised the food – quite tasty and served in an appealing manner. Special recommendations would go for “Filo Chicken”, “Who Dat Gumbo” and “Chex Chop”. All were outstanding. We shared a “Black Forest Mousse Cake” and a “Bacon Chocolate Waffle” (you read that right) for desert. Again this was great food. This was an enjoyable evening. The only issue that we had was our server. She was very slow and near the end of the meal, she seemed more content talking to other members of the staff about clothing than she was about attending us. I would hope this was a quirk.
