“y-u-triple-m yum, and great service”
Reviewed January 10, 2011

Our party of 5 were staying in a local hotel overnight waiting for a flight the next day. Came across this on Google Maps and decided "we'll give it a try". The decor is dated, but it's not really run-down. It's a 30-year old restaurant in a strip mall, which must be saying something for either its food or their tenacity.

The food was great...I sampled from 3 different dishes and they were fantastically executed. Their marinara was amazing.

The service was very attentive as well, but well-paced. The kids loved being able to draw on the paper tablecloth and had a good selection of choices on their menu.

“A Touch of Italy Right in Chicago”
Reviewed April 1, 2010

You can tell your "better half" that you will be dining in Rome. This restaurant has booths that are identified by signs of various cities in Italy. We especially love the lobster ravioli and their calamari is one of the best appetizers. Nice selection of wines. Their linguine with mussels/clams is really tasty and you can tell it is fresh... not plunked out of the freezer and then reheated. Veal parmesan is another favorite. The atmosphere, with the Italian City Booths, is warm and friendly. The host is always on the lookout to make sure everyone is having a pleasant dining experience.

“The general dining area...”
Reviewed September 18, 2008

The general dining area is small, but probably felt smaller simply because of the crowd. It soon became obvious why the restaurant was so full. Excellent service and the best Italian food I've ever had. We had a group of five and everyone loved their meals--definitely worth the price. The painted ceiling tiles are nice touch, and I love that the place is family-owned.
