Tucked into the tiny town of Paganos, just outside Laguardia, is Hector Oribe. A calm and delightful space with warm tones and white tablecloths, simple but elegant. Service is outstanding yet unpretentious. The food was outstanding and a great bargain. I think the entire meal (lunch) was $100 for the two of us including a superb wine from Torre de Ona (in Paganos too and worth a visit). We had the three course menu which came with an amuse bouche. Each dish was well prepared, very fresh flavors, and just enough creativity to showcase the talent of the chef. There was nothing sloppy or standard about a single dish. Can't recommend it enough and it is a nice counterpoint to the heavy cuisine of the region - the asadors and pinxtos.
