I was so excited to learn that a new craft beer spot was joining our community, but my excitement quickly turned to disappointment after a few visits.
Floyd's Alehouse was billed as a "fine dining establishment", but don't believe everything you read. The food menu looked promising but product was so-so at best. Service was extremely slow the couple times I've eaten here and most waitstaff are not beer-savvy. It's a sad day at an alehouse when I know more about beer than the servers do.
And, let's talk about the beer, or lack thereof. 60 taps were promised in news articles when Floyd's opened. It seems there are 30 or 40 at most. The bar started out with a bang when Floyd's first opened with a great brew selection paired with knowledgable attentive bartenders, but both have gone downhill since. It's difficult to get a bartender's attention even when there are only six customers sitting around the bar - too busy chatting with each other rather than with the customers. When we asked for a beer menu, our bartender had to grab one from another customer - they only had TWO printed copies! The final straw for us was when we saw one of our favorite ales listed on their website beer list - drove past another craft beer location only to find out that they didn't have said stout and NEVER did!
We won't be back.
