We were greeted on arrival by an offer of a cup of tea and duly shown to our rooms. Troy Farm is a working farm and has a couple of dogs too, more of them later.
The tea was delicious served in china with chocolate digestives and ginger nuts. As English folk now residing in Australia this was just the ticket and most refreshing and reviving after a drive up from the south coast. After a little rest and an introduction to the resident retrievers Poppy and Tango we took our host's recommendation for dinner and drove to the village of Hethe and The Muddy Duck. The retrievers were extremely friendly and our daughter was most impressed having left our dog with relatives some years ago. The Muddy Duck is well worth a visit, food staff, value for money and service all way above what we were expecting and worth a trip back for sure. The beds bathroom and breakfast were all great and certainly met our needs. Troy Farm a great find in more ways than one thank you.More
