Good place to visit if you like history. We took a wagon ride through historic Nauvoo and another through the country side, visited the land office, the brick yard, the activities hall.

“Loved this beautiful and special place!”
Reviewed November 22, 2012

Nauvoo is charming and wonderful. Rich in history and once rivaling Chicago for size, it has been painstakingly renovated, recreated and rebuilt very accurately. Be sure to go see the show the Senior couple missionary/volunteers put on. It's free every night at 7 pm, called "Rendezvous in Old Nauvoo". Our favorite places to tour are the bakery, blacksmith shop and brick yard- they send you away with a complimentary souvenir from each of these stops. Really fun for families, kids, couples or singles. A delightful stop with a beautiful Spirit of peace. P.S. Historic houses only open 10-4 in winter months.
