I will start by saying I am no expert in the area, but my step daughter spent 4 months in Korea and returned obsessed with Korean food. It was her idea to try this place based on other reviews and I am glad she brought us there. If you are looking for good, fresh food in a clean, casual setting with excellent service and reasonable prices, I suggest you try Chodang Tofu Village.

First: This Korean food is excellent! Never before have I seen so much banchan (spelling? little side dishes) at each meal. A table seating four is quickly covered more than 1/2 way with banchan. Most of those little dishes have been delicious to us and friends we've had with us. They make the food at 1271 E Ogden Avenue in Naperville, IL, just as great tasting, spicy, and hot as I've had elsewhere in the US. I actually would say that the base preparations of everything are even spicier and hotter than I'm used to in restaurants in the US, and I fully welcome that. It's not expensive, it's not cheap. It's just right with prices. Our favorites so far are jap chae, chicken bulgogi, yukgaejung, dukbokee, kimchee, fish cakes, bean sprouts, and pickled cucumbers. We get a beautiful welcome from everyone on staff when we enter. They also show us that we matter as we're leaving, which we really do appreciate. They take time to explain everything brought to our table - what it is, how to eat it, how you might want to eat it, something it goes really well with. They're happy to refill each banchan, over and over. It shows that you're enjoying the food. Yes, thank you! They'll talk with us, and they'r ready to answer any questions. There's ample parking shared with a movie theatre, an H-Mart, and other stores.
Second: there is more than one name of this excellent Korean restaurant at 1271 E Ogden Avenue, Naperville, IL 60563. TripAdvisor as of 2/25/2013, has "Chiding" in the name - but I've never seen or heard that elsewhere. Driving up to park for the restaurant you only see "Tofu Village" way above the door. The restaurant's menu cover says "JKorean" (where the o is filled with the Korean yin-yan symbol in red and blue colours ) and "Tofu Village". I have experienced people who are called different names or have their names spelled a few different ways by their own family members, so this restaurant having multiple names and spellings is nothing big to me. Just be sure of the address above so that you may get there. We love this restaurant!
