While travelling on the interstate we decided to stop and eat. Our GPS brought us in through a part of town that looked pretty run down/old and almost abandoned so we were getting a little worried about what we got ourselves into. From the outside, it doesn't look like much but what a charming somewhat upscale atmosphere inside. Prices were reasonable and the food was very good. Loved the fresh, hot bread they brought to the table. Was very pleased with our find.

This place is delicious! Reasonable price for an upscale place like this. Definitely a must try. I had the wrap with hummus and tried the Monte Carlo chicken sandwich which was amazing.

This restaurant has been in MT Vernon IL for almost 9 years. Our daughter lives here so we try to visit it on most visits. We have never been disappointed. The food is consistently good and the service usually excellent. The location is about 5 miles east off of Illinois 57/64 and definitely a better choice than the chain and fast food options closer to the interstate. The wine list is a bit limited but the menu for both lunch and dinner is upscale for the area. Our last visit was last friday and again it lived up to our expectations.

When we travel we hate eating at chain restaraunts. So we use trip advisor a lot to help find unique places. The food was fresh with special touches.I had the Monte Carlo and it was great. My husband had the steak salad, good but a little over priced for the size. Fresh bread was a nice touch and a bluberry muffin with the salad was delish. Would go again to try something new.

My wife had experience of this place from her work because they had catered for lunches and she always bragged how good it was. I took my wife out on Valentines weekend and had a reservation (highly recommended especially on weekends). The atmosphere is beautiful and cozy. The staff are all very friendly and professional. The food is AMAZING. It is a little pricier, for this area, but more than worth it. I HIGHLY recommend this place for locals and travelers alike.
