This buffet is about what you'd expect from a buffet that isn't too busy. Some of the food stays out too long, some is just fine. The problem is that it can be hard to discern the dos and don'ts at first glance, so you end up eating some things that you wish you hadn't. Overall the quality of the fresh food is pretty good. Service is uneven; sometimes it's great, sometimes it's really lacking. Prices seem a bit much for what it is, but again, they need to charge enough to stay in business with a limited clientele.

Have been by a few times and wondered if they were open . . . usually pretty empty parking lot. We stopped in on a Saturday evening and there were a decent number of people there. That seems to be the trick with buffets - go when there is a crowd so the food is fresher. Most of the dishes were being refilled on a continuous basis but there were some that had clearly been sitting there for a while. Food was decent - nothing to rave about - and the service was pretty good.

Gauge your expectations on the condition of the parking lot - empty and the food may have been sitting a while

When they opened, it was great. Then the cuts began... it used to include crab legs at dinner but no longer. Soda used to be $1, but that has gone up. If you go during off-peak hours, the food will be whatever was leftover from the last peak... gross. They leave things on the buffet way too long. They don't seem to recognize that there is a time to just throw it away when nobody has eaten it for hours. Also, my worst fear of the server giving me somebody else's refill was realized here. I got a vaguely rootbeery diet soda and the guy at the next table got a vaguely diety rootbeer. The server actually giggled. I was not amused! During peak hours, it's not bad but I'd rather go out of town for Chinese buffet. Too much $$ for less and less.

When the China buffet first opened it's doors, the food was pretty good. Always fresh, and always being restocked. They were a busy place then. Now, you need to go there during peek hours for good food. We all know that the longer food sits out on a buffet, the more dried out it becomes. And when business is not booming, this trends to happen here. Go at dinner hour and you will find decent Chinese food. Not great, but decent enough to fill up on. Ice cream machine is usually working and the hot apple pie squares are a tasty treat. Service is okay. All they do is refresh drinks, take finished plates away and deliver your bill so they are not required to be that great.

This is one of my favorite Chinese buffets because of the good assortment and preparation of the food. I like to first sample several things and then zoom in on what appeals to me at the time.

On the downside, the atmosphere is not the best. Tables are a bit sticky, floor dirty, having to view the "serious stomachs" that frequent the buffets.

I recommend this restaurant if you are hungry and in the mood for Chinese.
