“Graet food in a magnificent setting”
Reviewed June 2, 2013

We lucked out to have an early lunch seating after a damp morning, the falls were making music, the food was good and attentive staff prior to our walk along the trail network starting out from Laragh Lodge. Wew feel so fortunate to have made this connection. Thank you!

“Perfect Lazy Sunday!”
Reviewed June 2, 2013 via mobile

Headed for a drive up the coast today and stopped in at Laragh Lodge for Sunday lunch. We were seated straight away and waiting staff were really friendly and efficient. Food utterly fabulous and such good value, thoroughly enjoyed every bite! Restaurant is right next to Glenariffe forest park so we were able to go and walk off the big feed afterwards, really lovely day out. Full marks for food, value and service guys! Will definitely return :)

“A great restaurant in an idyllic spot.”
Reviewed April 23, 2013

My son was home from London with his Italian girlfriend and her friends from Sicily. It was their first visit to Ireland. We went to the Lara Lodge and after a walk and photo session around the beautiful waterfalls and forest, we went into the restaurant for a meal. The staff were so helpful and the meal was absolutely delicious. Our Italian visitors were very impressed and when we got the bill, they couldn't believe the value. The Lara Lodge is a favourite with my family and we recommend it to everyone. You won't be disappointed.

“Can't see the forest for the trees!!!”
Reviewed April 22, 2013

I visted Glenariff Forest Park with my partner and four children, ages 8 to 12. As part of our plans for the day was a visit to the restaurant for late tea, after a healthy walk around the scenic park. As part of the park was closed we arrived at the restaurant earlier than expected and much to early for dinner. One child desperately needed the toilet and on asking the restaurant for the use of the toilet for an 8 year old girl, i was informed of that i had to pay a charge of 50p for the privilage! i was disgusted at the managements attitude when challanged about the charge and i was given excuses about the price of toilet roll, someone to clean the toilets and the expense of maintaing a septic tank. This was one small child in a forest and over a mile away from any other public amenity.
Unfortunitly the manager did not see 6 people wanting dinner later on nore did they ask the question. So The business lost out on a potential income of over £70 for the sake of one pee and 50p. Makes you wonder then at theeir charges for their other services if they feel the need to charge for access to their toilet.
In short i did not eat in the restaurant and cannot even comment on their toilets as i didnt get in to see them but i would think with their charges for using them, they must have gold plated toilet seats!
I would not recommend this restaurant and that is simply based on their attatude and customer service shown to potential customers.
