The town of Mascoutah is not 10 minutes away as one poster said- it's less than 5 miles from the hotel, & it's a straight shot- so unless you're stuck at the light for 5 minutes you should be able to get there in 5. Also, there's a gas station right next to the hotel & interstate access right there as well. There are also a few restaurants being built right across the highway too, a Huddle House, I believe. Historic Lebanon is just 3 or 4 miles down the road in the other direction as well, they have a gof course, a bunch of cute little diners & great antique shopping- if you're into that sort of thing.

My family and I have stayed at this hotel three or four times now, often for several days at a time. The hot tub is sealed and according to their front desk not likely to be reinstated due to new regulations regarding plumbing and hot tubs. We initially were given room 326 and every night we attempted to access the room neither card worked. This problem continued every night until we asked to be moved to another room.
The staff said that others were reporting a similar issue but didn't know how to fix it. Once we changed rooms we didn't have the issue reappear. The rooms are well cleaned and cozy. The hallways and elevator could stand to be cooler as these areas were often hotter and more humid than outside.

My family just stayed here for two nights. The hotel was very clean and organized. The sheets were clean which was nice since hotel sheets usually aren't. The pool area was nice and clean as well. Breakfast was kind of scarce. The other issue was the service. Though they were very helpful we often had to ring the bell to get someone. Overall, our stay was very pleasant! It's a great place to stay away from the chaos of the big city!

My biggest problem with this basic, basic motel, was that for the first time in years I was stuck at a place that didn't have conditioner in the shower. So I borrowed some from my cousin and put it in a cup in the bathroom. Housekeeping, on their one time only sweep through to clean ( if you're in your room at 9:30am, you can forget cleaning for the whole day, that's all they do..) Threw away the cup of conditioner, leaving me to have frizzy hair. Bummer. The wifi needs a lot if help, I was never able to get more than a very slow connection, and the construction crew working on the room across the hall was using power saws and drills (and hammering. Loud. ) at 7:15 AM. No problem, I'll call to complain. They move 3 doors down. >:(. The breakfast was ok, I liked a lot that they serve it at 5am-9. Because with the paper thin walls I was up anyway. This hotel needs a bit of work, it's inexpensive and convenient if you're needing to be in Mascoutah a close drive from there. But it could use a service pep talk from the Holiday Inn chain or something...

We were on the road, looking for a La Quinta on the east side of St Louis. This place was listed in the La Quinta book so we called, but they informed us it was now a "Mid America". We went ahead and booked the room, but worried all the way there that the place had been below La Quinta standards and been kicked out of the chain. When we got there we were very pleased with the accommodations. Nice new clean building, good sized room, good breakfast, less than $100 - and most important, pet friendly. The only drawback is that this place is really out in the boondocks. The town of Mascoutah is cute and has a couple places to eat if you're feeling adventurous, but it's a good 10 minutes away.

My husband and our two dogs needed a comfortable, clean, quiet hotel to spend the night in while traveling through several states. Mid America Inn and Suites fit the bill! I would highly recommend staying here to any traveller - especially those with dogs in tow. The staff was professional and courteous, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The morning breakfast was excellent as well. We will definitely be staying here again!

This is the second time my family has stayed at this hotel. We love that it is pet friendly and away from the hustle and bustle of a big city. The rooms are spacious and clean, (the bathrooms are full sized, not the annoying small bathrooms in most hotels). The kids enjoyed the indoor pool, and my husband and I got a good nights rest before hitting the road bright and early. We will be sure to stop here again next time we drive through.
