“Perfect place to relax and recharge your batteries”
Reviewed July 11, 2013 via mobile

We took the unit for two, which was little small, but OK. The balcony with the jacuzzi and yhe little garden at the entrances is an awesome place for relaxation, reading a book.
The hospitality is extra ordinary, and the breakfast is unforgettable.
It is in a very good location with 20 minutes drive to many attractions.

We spent just one night in Barbakfar but we just loved it. It is a very lovely and peacefull place. It was a recomendation of a friend living in Israel. First we wondered about animal farms arround and we couldn't believe, that there is any thing else. But it was a big surprise!!!! We had a warmly wine tasting (very good red wine colds Sharona) and we decided to stay. Barbakfar is made with love, offering comfortable rooms with jacuzzi, a very tasty home made breakfast, pool, wine yards arround- very nice place to stay longer and relax

Great breakfast, great service, great rooms, great pool, great location. A real bargain in comparison to other similar places in Israel. The rooms are small but they are more than functional and this is more than made up for by the amazing outdorr decking area with jacuzzi and exceptional open spaces and location.

we spent a long weekend at Bar Bakfar. We, an extended family of 20 people (20-80 years old) booked the whole place for the second time within two years. it was a magical weekend. we didnt leave the place from the moment we checked in until we left 48 hours later. The rooms, the compound, the landscape, the pool, the facilities were so inviting and fun that we didnt want to go anywhere, just to stay there and enjoy what the place has to offer. the place is sparkling clean and beautiful, both rooms and public areas. Breakfast is generous and tasty. everything is home made, the hosts/ owners that we met, Nili and her son Yuval are wonderful - very attentive, service oriented and caring. an exceptionally good and flawless experience from the moment we got in touch to book the place until a day after we left.

We spent 4 nights at Bar Bakfar. I can't remember staying at any B&B where the owners were more accomodating and helpful. The room we stayed in was a stand-alone building. There was a small kitchen (sink/refrigerator/microwave, kitchen table), bedroom and bathroom. Outside our room was a hammock and chairs. There is a barbecue area that you can use and the B&B has their own vineyard. They make their own wine, jellies, lemoncello, etc.

There is a great Arabic restaurant in Kfar Tavor that we ate in several times - I don't know the name, but it's behind the gas station in Kfar Tavor - only a few miles down the road from Bar Bakfar.

Breakfast was a true "experience". LOTS of food - omlets, breads, cheeses, juice, coffee, tea, water, tomatoes, cucumbers, yogurt, granola, honey, jelly, etc., etc., etc. You WON'T go hungry!

every year on indipendane weekend a group of us, 7 couples,
are travelling to a specipic area in israel.
this time we went to the lower Gallilee and stayed in Barbakfar, Shrona.
the place is magical. rolling hiils, green all around you, a vineyard, a villa with 4 rooms and more rooms around it.
it's not a 5 star hotel but that's not what we were looking for. the villa ia beautiful and very convinient for a whole family. huge kitchen and living room, jacuzzi in every room (we didn't need it) best of all the atmosphere. Toscana in Israel.
Yuval, the owner, is a gracious host, attentive, helpfull and attuned to all your needs.
the breakfast is rich, tasty, and served in a room overlooking the view.
we had a great time and we recommand the place wholeheartedly.
we'll be going back

Room Tip: tall people shouldn't take the upper rooms at the villa. the roof is tilted

We just finished a fabulous 4 day, 3 night stay at Bar Bakfar. I am a frequent traveler (100K miles per year) and have always stayed in hotels. This was my first attempt at a Bed and Breakfast and it was wonderful. The Bar Bakfar location is perfect as a base for exploring the natural beauty, and history of all of northern Israel. The suites were clean and comfortable (each with an extra large Jacuzzi tub), the views of the vineyard (Bar Bakfar is both a B&B and a winery) and Mount Tabor beyond were spectacular and the breakfasts were homemade, bountiful and delicious. We were three adults traveling together and had a one bedroom suite and a two room suite. Each bedroom had its own bathroom and comfortable beds. Although the bedrooms themselves are not large, the sitting rooms, kitchens and decks in the suite gave us plenty of room to stretch out. One of the best parts of staying at Bar Bakfar is the family that runs it. They greeted us warmly and immediately made us feel like part of the family. Our rooms were stocked with a complementary bottle of Bar Bakfar wine and a jar of fresh baked cookies. One of my traveling companions is a wine enthusiast and Yotam (one of the Bar Bakfar family members) gave him a detailed tour of the winery operations. It was fascinating. Nilly (the Mom), makes many of the breakfast items. Each morning she made each of us a custom omelet. She also bakes the tasty fresh bread and cookies and makes the jam (you can buy jars of the jam in their store – an opportunity of which I took advantage). Every breakfast also had a plate of fresh tomatoes and cucumbers that tasted like they had been picked that morning. Nilly and Yuval also gave us great recommendations for special dinner spots in the area. We had a particularly special meal at the Mount Gilboa Herb Farm (http://thegilboaherbfarm.rest-e.co.il/) and another at Shiri’s Bistro (Shiri is Nilly’s cousin) in Rosh Pinna. Both restaurants have amazing views of different parts of the Galilee.
We were very sorry to leave but took with us bottles of Bar Bakfar wine, their delicious Limoncello and Pomegranate Liqueurs and Nilly’s jam. I will definitely be back to Bar Bakfar! Thank you Nilly, Yotam and Yuval for a great vacation!
