Hyatt Regency Lisle near Naperville

Its a standard business hotel.
But its a hyatt - so it has a certain upperscale feel to it. The bathrooms are a bit dated.
The rooms are very standard. But overall the staff is excellent.
And that makes the difference. I stay at a lot of hotels, and this one has a very high quality business feel.
So in a sense - it may not be the highest end hyatt, but the staff handles it as if it is.

Special note - the breakfast is great (off the menu). One of the few places I've seen cashews and macadamias - the best. Really great selection of nuts and dried fruits.The staff that handles the breakfast has a smile and is courteous. Great job.

We HAD to stay at this hotel becasue we were in a tournament and told we had to stay here. The rooms were no bigger than a motel 6 but we paid three times the amount it would have cost to stay at one of those. The breakfast buffet they provided for us was also dissappointing but I'm sure we paid atleast 20 bucks for breakfast - cost included in the room price of course. We checked out early - If we had stayed the 3 nights it would have cost us over 400.00 These rooms with the breakfast are not worth 130.00 per night.

The rooms are nice, as was the rest of the hotel. The only drawback was that you have to pay for internet. I haven't had to pay for internet at a hotel ever. Other than that, no problem s with this hotel.

Everything was fine. The room was an okay size with the bathroom being a bit undersized. The bed was plenty comfortable.

The bar had a less than friendly bartender. But he was the only one for a lot of people in the bar. All in all, it was an okay stay.

We drove into Lisle form Oklahoma and stayed two nights here. We stayed here so we would be close to Chicago and South Bend Indiana. We drove in to attend the OU vs. Notre Dame football game. Friday night we went into Chicago. We came back late and the remainder of the evening was uneventful. We got up early Saturday morning and went to the game. When we returned late Saturday night after the game, we noticed a party going on in the lobby and a pravillion they had set up. Our guess was that it was a class reunion of some sort. With it already being late and us having to get up early to make the twelve hour trip back home the next morning, we retired for what we thought would be the night. However, to our surprise, an after party started up in the room across the hall from us. They had music blaring with the door to the room wide open. The room was cramed full of drunk biligerent people that spilled over into the hallway. The noise and racket was unbelievable. Okay, we thought, this is the Hyatt. We will make a phone call to the front desk and this problem will be immediatey taken care of. SIX (6) PHONE CALLS later they finally shut the party down. This we believe was only due because on the sixth call to the front desk we threatened to call the Fire Department and report that the occupancy for the entire floor was being violated just in that one room and the hallway outside of it. We also told the front desk we were going to tell the Fire Department that in case of an emergency we and the other occuppants on the floor would be unable to get to the stairway and the other emergency exits because of the blocked hallway. We might expect this from a cheap budget motel, but the Hyatt. REALLY!!!

Room Tip: Ask what the hotels policy is on private parties in individual rooms are!!! Ask about their securit...

The only way to stay here is with one or two people to a room - absolutely no more! My husband and I have stayed here twice in two months - Once in a king panoramic room, which was very spacious and very nice. So we thought we'd stay again, this time, with our daughter, in a double bed business room. The business half of the room was great - a sitting area with a couch, chair, ottomans, desk, and flat TV (which turned toward either the sitting area or the bedroom area). The TV, placed on top of bookshelves and drawers made for a nice division in the whole room, making it feel more like two rooms. Very nice.
The downside to this room was the bed situation. The two double beds were really more like full beds and pushed next to each side wall. My husband and I are average sized people (neither of us overweight at all) and we could barely fit in the bed laying on our backs. The fact that the bed was against the wall made it worse, because I was then squished between the wall and my husband, who was trying to not fall off his side. On top of that, the wall was to the outside, with a window on the bottom half of the bed, making it a very cold nights sleep because it was in the 30's outside.
As soon as we saw the size of the beds, we ran back down to see if we could switch to a King bedroom with a pull-out couch, but they were sold out.
Suffice to say, this hotel is good if you are traveling on business - but don't try to stay as a family unless you want to get more than one room.
Other than the bed situation, we enjoyed the very good breakfast buffet (included in our room one time, but not the other - so check on that) And the wi-fi didn't fail us once.
One last note - the hotel just underwent some remodeling, but they only remodeled the 3rd (and maybe the second?) floor.

I stayed here while attending my high school class reunion. The property is a little older but the rooms are very nicely updated and well laid out with a separate sitting and sleeping area. Comes with all the amenities you expect from Hyatt including free Wifi. There's a nice bar in the lobby to enjoy a drink with friends before or after an event. There are pretty nice views from either side of the building but if your room faces north, you have a nice panoramic view of the Morton Arboretum from the upper floors (I-88 tollway is in the forground but you can look past that). Friendly staff.
