“If you are shorter than 48" you cant play!”
Reviewed June 2, 2013

This place has been there for years! It is on a nice piece of land. However I was turned away because my son was too short (under 48"). It is also very expensive!! $8.50 per person. And if you dont want to play and simply walk with your kids...you cant! Everyone on the course has to pay! It is too bad for it is a cool mini-golf course. I am surprised it is still there based on there policies! My son is 5 and loves to mini-golf unfortunately he will have to play somewhere else!

“Great old fashioned entertainment”
Reviewed May 11, 2013

Really enjoyed our round of mini gulf - it sure takes you back a few decades with the 1960's vintage style. We had a great time and I won the grand prize - free game at the last hole.

“Fore-midable. Coolest thing in golf apart from Ian Poulters trousers!”
Reviewed October 23, 2012 via mobile

Had not been here in years. Basically because I no longer live near it but on a recent visit had the urge for some good old Americana. This course is terrific and so well looked after. The course is very retro, vibrant, bold, silly and very nicely landscaped. Two courses, both are as good as each other with crazy holes that make you think: how on earth did they come up with that idea? And make it work? The inside course is maybe slightly more fun (red?). People of all ages will enjoy it here; nice way to spend an hour outdoors doing something fun. There is a reason this place has been open for 50 plus years in one incarnation or another: it's simply really good. For something authentically retro it is still streets ahead of other mini golfs around the world.

“Retro-Rad!”
Reviewed September 14, 2012

I love going to Par-King with the kids!
There are two different courses, with really fun obstacles and features, (Your ball can go up the Sears Tower in one) and you can win a free game at the end!
Just be sure to bring your bug spray because the little water features can mean the pesky critters come out at night.

“When you're looking for a real retro mini-golf experience, head to Par-King”
Reviewed August 13, 2012

When it comes to a real mini-golf experience, it's hard to beat Par-King. This vintage course is in excellent condition and well worth the price of admission. We took our 6-year-old and our 9-year-old (note that there's a height requirement of 48") as part of a stay-cation extravaganza and enjoyed every minute of our experience. The management does a good job of alternating between the two courses and allowed us to start mid-course to make sure that we didn't get stuck behind a large group that would have kept our family of four waiting. There's a great variety of hazards (ranging from a golf ball roller coaster, to a spinning clown to a Sears Tower replica with working elevator and more) and the park is clean, well maintained and challenging enough to keep a variety of ages entertained.

Snacks are limited and note that they only take cash, so be prepared! I would guess that there are longer waits in the evenings and on weekends, but for a mid-week summer excursion, Par-King is a great place to go.
