Four of us decided to try the "new" Mickey Finn's the other night. The new building is very nice. The bar is at least twice, maybe three times, as big as the old one and there are a ton of tvs for the sports lover. There's a large room toward the back entrance for special occasions. On a Thursday night it seemed to be one of the in places to go.
The menu seemed somewhat limited-burgers, pizza, sandwiches with a few other choices and then some specials for the night. I had shrimp fajita tacos which were okay, but nothing to rave about. Two dining companions had the pulled pork sandwiches which our waiter assured us were great-a top seller. Neither were that impressed with it. Another friend had the brisket sandwich and thought the same-good, but nothing special. The waiter was very nice and tried to be as helpful as he could. It was difficult to carry on a conversation because it was so noisey in there-partially due to the very high ceilings. There was a wait to sit outdoors but not indoors. The hostess would not let four of us sit at a table near the outdoor section, where we could get some air, because it was for seven. We noticed that no one sat there all night. The beer drinker was happy with his choices, another was disappointed that there weren't more "hard ciders" to choose from. My cocktail was okay. We will probably be back just because it's in town.
