“Good pizza and sandwiches, friendly people.”
Reviewed June 13, 2012

Recently had lunch with some friends at this little place. My sandwich was excellent, their pizza slices were really good, and the overall experience was positive. The menu has a pretty wide variety of lunch/dinner items, so just about anyone who likes Italian food can find something to their liking. Not real cheap prices, but not real expensive either - the quality of the food is good, for the price charged. I will definitely go back.

“Fantastic deep dish Pizza”
Reviewed November 20, 2011

This is not a place to take a first date, unless they are pizza connoisseurs. Bare tables and hard seats, with two TV screens mounted on the wall is what you will experience.

Prices are medium to high. I spend about $25 for a large deep dish veggie with hot peppers and one or two soft drinks.

Two maybe three slices are about normal for any one person to eat unless you save yourself for it like I have do and don't eat all day before eating there.
WARNING ..... if you decide to drive away with your pizza, be forewarned, do not place it on an uneaven surface like a car seat and don't take corners going to fast or you will probably find the toppings over flowing the edge of the deep dish crust.
Oh yea, they are quite heavy so make sure the person you have hold it is up to the task. :-)

This is my favorite pizza ..right behind Lou Malnati's, which has it's closest resturant about 15 miles from Viccinos's.

So dine in or take out most, of my friends and I think it is the best pizza in Libertyville.

“Great Chicago pizza”
Reviewed November 6, 2009

Viccino's doesn't have the name recognition of a Giordano's or Uno's, but the pizza is almost comparable. A bit overpriced? Perhaps. They really should remove "gourmet" from their description, because I certainly wouldn't apply that adjective. But we enjoyed the deep dish pizza, and it makes great leftovers.
