“Mmmmmm Good!”
Reviewed May 28, 2014

First of all, let me say "thank you" to the entire staff at Calumet Bakery and restaurant. Why? Because, they deserve to be recognized for the "outstanding" bake goods they churn out everyday! Most important, "Calumet Bakery" hasn't compromised their recipes with "artificial" ingredients, neither abandoned the community where they offered their first tasty morsel since 1935. Bravo!
For that reason, I must say with a discriminating palate...."If you live in this community or not? You don't have to settle for less. Because, "Calumet Bakery" will express ship your most desirable confectionaries to you! How about that!
Listen to me my friends, you don't have to compromise your palate or simply feel you just have to settle for the "look-a-like" glitzy re-packaged baked goods for the "supermarket" chain. Sure, those baked goods may make you "mouth water" with ecstatic delight. Nonetheless, after one bite you'll need an ocean of water in order to choke them down! Again, why? Because, these baked goods our full of "artificial this, and substitute that, and may contain other preservatives?" Yuck.....
Hey, I'm in the mood for some "homemade" apple pie or peach cobbler made with "real" apples and "real" peaches, instead of fruit syrup. How about you? Or, how about a piece of German Chocolate cake made with real baking powder, C&H sugar [from the sugar], farm fresh eggs, and creamy rich butter [not butter solids], whole milk, semi-sweet Hershey's chocolate, and cocoa crushed from the cocoa bean? Hun..... Forget about it...at the "bigbox" store bakery!
Calumet Bakery...."Mmmmmm Good!" Stop by one of their two locations and enjoy "real" baked goods. Or, visit them online by simply "Googling" Calumet Bakery Lansing, IL

“The Best Bakery in The Southeast Suburbs of Chicago”
Reviewed May 28, 2014

My family has ordered cakes, coffeecakes and pastries from this bakery for years. If you are looking for something special, make this your next stop in the Southeast suburbs of Chicago.

“Great Bakery!!”
Reviewed April 17, 2014

This is a very small and quaint bakery. The goods are always fresh. You cant go wrong whatever your choice. I love the atomic cake and the carrot cake is one of my favorites. You wont be sorry or regret your decision to have a sweet treat from this bakery. The staff are very accommodating!!

“Great bakery”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

More and more it's hard to find a good bakery but Calumet Bakery fills the niche when you're looking for all things baked - donuts, sweet rolls, Danish, pies, coffee cakes, etc. They have a limited amount of indoor seating so it can be a great place to meet a friend for a cup of coffee and something sweet.

“Great treats, iffy service”
Reviewed March 13, 2014 via mobile

Everything is always great, except the last time we ordered a cake, we got calls the day before the order was for, telling us we had an hour to pick up our cake before they closed. When we told them the cake was ordered for the next day, the woman on the phone said they had it ready then and we could either pick it up or not. The woman I ordered it from wasn't working when I had to rush from work to pick up the cake in time but I will always make sure they have the correct date from now on.
