I stayed at the Westin Chicago Northwest last week for a biz trip. After long days of meetings I did not feel like driving off site for dinner. Shula's Steakhouse in the Lobby of the Westin absolutely delighted me. On my first night I enjoyed the lump crab cake dinner in the restaurant. On my second night I ate at the bar and enjoyed the onion soup to start (I only ate half to save room) and the seared ahi that was so flavorful and fresh. The bartender was spot on with his recommendations. I've been a good girl lately with desserts. On the recommendation of the bar tender I ordered the apple cobbler. It is baked to order. It is full of tangy apples baked in a tender crust topped with a cinnamon crumb topping and cinnamon glazed vanilla ice cream. Oh my. I could only eat half of it and every bite was just amazing. The service at Shula's is spot on. I will have repeat biz in the area and can't wait to return. YUM!
