Description: La Casa de Isaac and Moishe’s Restaurant is the second Mexican restaurant established in Highland Park by the Nava family from Huitzuco, Guerrero, Mexico. As family owned and operated establishments, the Nava family has brought some unique Mexican dishes to Chicago’s North Shore. Isaac’s Mother’s Favorite Enchiladas – a recipe developed by their mother, Florencia – continues to be a customer favorite. New specialty items are added continually with an emphasis on local favorites from their home region. The Nava family maintains a strong commitment and loyalty to the community by offering unique Mexican dishes with excellent service. They appreciate the support and patronage of their customers.

Our go to favorite place for Mexican food. Great service, more space than Highwood location and very reliable food at a good price. The enchiladas with ranchero sauce are the best around! We always take out of town family here!

Many times in the past when I went looking for places to go to eat this one would show up and never gave it much thought. This last time I decided to try it and was very happy I did. The food was goods, the service was excellent and we enjoyed it so much that it is now on our list of gems.
Started with the normal chips, which were very good and warm. Salsa was also good, but if you like heat have them bring you the Habanero salsa. I had a special maragrita which was one of the best I've had in a long time. I had the tortilla soup and my wife had the hominy and both were excellent. We shared the Fajitas which was very good. Our son had the tacos which being picky his verdict of good is high marks.

Although dinner attracts the crowd, the unlikely-named La Cass De Isaac & Moishe serves a great breakfast for a crowd with a variety of tastes. Operated by Hispanic Jews, they offer deli specialties like to-die-for blintzes (Blackberry!) or lox plate while also providing tasty huevos a la Mexicana, Chilaquiles, skillet fajita and more. Meals ran around $5 - $8 plus good coffee. Orange juice is fresh squeezed.

The dinner menu is excellent but not the object of this review.

Do not confuse this restaurant (or the reviews) with its similarly named sister restaurant in Highwood. Also be aware of hours. They don't open until 9 AM except 8 AM on Sunday. The owners are observant and close for shabat from sundown Friday to sundown Saturday.
