Just returned from our 3rd and longest visit to Veligandu.
They have improved the All Inclusive Plus package by providing a range of cocktails that are included in the price. Of note from another review, you can specifically ask for 'dry white wine' as the house wine as they will bring their sweet white wine as standard if you just ask for 'white wine'. It is much more palatable!
The Spa as usual was excellent and the best massage I've had.
There's a family of about 7 reef sharks that circle the water villas on the sunset side, as well as a few massive manta rays. It's a very short swim out to the edge of the reef where the snorkelling is excellent.
The only minor niggles were people leaving their belongings on sun loungers and then leaving for hours on end, so no one else could use them. Some of the water villas are due a revamp and were feeling a bit dated. They seem to be building some new villas next to the spa though.
As usual the main highlight was the food at the Dhonveli Restaurant. The staff are excellent - this year they had a man whose sole job was to cut up fresh fruit for you! Ha! The fresh grilled fish was also amazing and highly recommended.
Still the best island we've been to - reasonably priced, beautiful and friendly.More
