We have always wanted to try this restaurant and made our first visit on a Saturday night. We called and made a reservation for 2. When we arrived we walked into a supper club. We were greeted and told our table was ready. Our table was set up with the relish tray and tucked into a corner. It felt special. We ordered the Beef Stroganoff and Chicken Oscar. Both came with choice of soup and salad. The Oscar was very good, the Stroganoff was bland. While it was a very substantial portion with lots of beef, it was lacking flavor/seasoning. The staff was very friendly. If you want to have a conversation, be aware that there is lovely piano music playing in the corner, but it does make it harder to hear. We will return.

Stopped in on a Saturday night. Hostess and waitress were both very friendly and helpful, they both made great suggestions. Food was fantastic, and as others have mentioned, the relish tray was awesome. The special for the night was 4 very large shrimp and a half rack of baby back ribs for $20 (included soup or salad, and 3 sides). Way too much food, but the leftovers will not go to waste.

Diners who think they have to travel into Wisconsin to get the classic supper club experience should stay just south of the border and give Heritage House a try. It has all the classic dishes -- steaks, chops, fish, prime rib -- with tasty and affordable German cuisine as well. Of course, there has to be a relish tray and in addition to crackers and fresh vegetables, ours included cheese spread, liver pate, beet salad, coleslaw, and some kind of fish (herring?) in white sauce. My wife had the pork tenderloin with bacon and mushroom gravy, while I had the 12-oz smoked pork chop. Both entrees were delicious and very filling (we didn't have any room left for dessert) and cost less than $20 each. The dining room is old-school and cozy with stained glass windows and heavy furniture, clean and well-maintained. We'll be back -- probably in the winter so that we can sit by the big fieldstone fireplace!
