“We would live there if we could!”
Reviewed July 28, 2010

We didn't ride but rented a campsite. We had a primitive site and LOVED it! We were amazed with how quiet it was considering it's an ATV park too. They have a couple ponds to fish at and lots of wooded areas to explore. They have bathrooms and showers for overnight guests, we LOVED that, too! Towns aren't too far away, but this place really feels like it's miles and miles away from civilization, which is what we wanted. We didn't think we would enjoy it much (not the vacation we had planned to have) but to sum it up...We ARE going back SOON!

I live near Harrisburg, IL which is where Williams Hill Pass is located. I had heard about the OHV park and wanted to check it out. We love riding four wheelers and being outdoors. They had trails everywhere in the woods to ride and everyone there was very nice and friendly. We stayed in one of their cabins on the property. ATV's are not allowed to ride after dark unless its with a guided night ride (which was very cool) so its quiet and peaceful at night. The cabin is small and simple, one room with a bed and table. More than enough for a relaxing low maintanence weekend. It has air conditioning and we stayed cool. They also had camp sites. We used the fire pit alot to build a fire at night. Around the area in Shawnee National Forest there was all kinds of things to do and see. We saw Barron Falls where there was a wonderfall and also Bell Smith springs where people were swiming and jumping off cliffs into the water. It was really cool. Dont expect fancy accomodations here, its rustic, simple, clean, and FUN. Just what we needed!
