The property is very nicely presented and in a perfect location for all of Port Sollers attractions. Communication and support from both the owners and management company was excellent. As mentioned in previous reviews the access and internal stairway could be difficult for less mobile persons. The reason for the loss of one star is difficult for the owners as it was noise from neighbours. Firstly with this being the bottom half of the building you hear all the noise from upstairs. Secondly one set of neighbours decided to have a screaming argument at 2.00am in the morning. The last was the local children who used the wall directly outside the top door as a climbing frame,so to have privacy the wooden shutter had to be up at all times. In the end a talking to sorted this out but sweet wrappers etc.were still being dumped over the wall. Difficult to control but we didn't go on holiday to keep getting disturbed.
However to sum up, it is a lovely little property, good value and very nicely run.
Very good apartment in a convenient position in Port Sóller. Owner was helpful in providing all the information you could want. An enjoyable stay.
Clean, well equipped and perfect location.
We were a group of 4 vising Puerto Soller on a mountain biking long weekend. We booked Las Mimoras through Tripadvisor.
We were allowed in the property early morning as the property was not being used the night prior.
We used the sofa bed, the double bed and the 2 single beds for sleeping, which were fine. The property has all you need if you are self catering although we ate out whilst we were there.
we did not use the aircon as it was not required mid Apr.
The property owner helped us with any queries we had prior to the visit.
I would recommend this property for anyone wanting a quiet property just minutes away from the bars and restaurants.
I can only agree with all the other positive reviews of Las Mimosas. We had a wonderful time. David had prepared detailed info about the house, its contents and appliances and also about the surrounding area. The Xc company that manages the house failed to meet us at the airport as previously arranged and after waiting an hour, we rang and they promptly sent a taxi. Location is perfect, near the restaurants, wonderful beaches, tram lines, bus stops, small shops, everything within walking distance yet removed from the hustle and bustle in a quiet oasis. Port de Sollier a great holiday destination, with easy access to the mountains, Palma, Valledemossa, Daia.
Easily one of the best locations on the island, a secret cove replete with working fishermen and full of expensive yachts. Definitely for the mature person seeking sun, sand, and peace, but catering for the young with clear swimming waters and safe, sandy beaches.
A bit on the expensive side though, so be aware of prices, the £ is almost in Parity with the euro.
A good centre for walking in the Tramuntana mountains.
Downsides: Getting there is difficult, public transport would be a problem, train to Soller and tram to Port Soller possible, but expensive, suitcases might be a problem. Buses a rarity. Taxis to and from Palma airport are set at e55. Car parking is strictly controlled but possible.
We had a lovely week in Port Soller with average temperatures of 25 degrees. We are keen walkers so walked most days either from Port Soller or taking a bus/ car. The place was very comfortable for the two of us and David the owner is great at giving you all the information you need. The balcony was great for a glimpse of the port and the amount of places to eat or drink is unreal.
This is a great place to stay in Port de Soller. The owner, David gives very clear instructions and is very quick to answer emails. The property managers are also very professional and friendly, and will book transfers and sort out any issues you may have very quickly. The property is in a great location, just minutes from the port, beach, supermarkets and restaurants, but also tucked away from the busy port area.
The house has everything you need. It has great air conditioning on both floors. This really is a bonus, as it is necessary in hot weather. The wifi is very good, even better than at home. The beds are very comfortable and the sofa bed is also comfortable. The cooker and washing machine are also of high quality. There is everything you would need for your stay. The shower is hot and powerful. There are two outside seating areas, one has a lovely balcony where you can sit and enjoy the view of the port. There is a spiral staircase to the lower floor, this may be difficult for very small children or people with mobility issues, however, we had no problems and there is a safety gate in the property for use.
We really enjoyed our stay at las Mimosas, Port de Soller is beautiful, the tram to Soller is a must, and there are great restaurants just minutes away. The beach is lovely and great for children. We hope to return one day!
