Great location on the sea front, hotel required a full refurbishment as it was very dated and old fashioned, shower was leaking and we were just about able to close the shower door, the bedroom with a sea view and balcony was fabulous but to be honest this hotel has great potential but please spend a bit of money over winter to refurb the hotel.

BUILDING: beautifully situated near the centre of this lovely village, just across the road from the beach. Last facelift in perhaps 1990 and now a bit worn with outdated fitments.
STAFF: helpful, kind people, They keep it very clean.
ROOM: a reasonable size but seriously under-furnished. Not a drawer to be seen – if you unpack, everything has to lie on surfaces (except for a single shelf in the wardrobe). TV gets only German channels – after I mentioned this the UK and French channels came on for a day then faded again. No kettle unless you ask. Teabags but no milk or sugar. No fridge. Pillows thin and firm – very uncomfortable indeed. Bed only just firm enough.
BATHROOM: needs updating. Extremely low water pressure even on the first floor. No plug for the washbasin unless you ask…and then it doesn’t fit. Shower-head set at a fixed angle and at a height that ensures your head gets wet whether you want that or not. No shampoo, shower-cap or the other usual supplies. Take an adaptor for two-pin toothbrush chargers etc as there’s no razor point.
FOOD: large helpings prepared slightly crudely.
SUMMARY: I wish we’d paid more, perhaps for a shorter stay, rather than stay here. It is a golden opportunity for a hotelier gone to waste – in a position like this it could be superb.

Room tip: Choose a room in another hotel!

A beautiful place to stay, the hotel is in the perfect spot, central location is very good. The hotel food is good and plenty of it, the room we had was small but very clean, we had a balcony but no sea view but we didn’t use it anyway other than to but our beach towels on. Which we learnt that the hotel as them on request. Only down side the room didn’t have a fridge. Not having a pool wasn’t a problem either as your that close to the beach, and it’s great beach if you have children. The staff were helpful with local information, I would say the hotel is a little tied and could do with a revamp but it’s great value and would stay again.

This was our 6th stay at the Miramar and the first with our 10month old son. The Hotel has retained the same high standards for all our holidays. The pool area is modern and the Hotel has a traditional Spanish feel. I would love to see the Hotel serve food at the Sunbeds but otherwise a perfect stay.

My family spent 4 lovely nights at the hotel with a sea view. It was a basic 3 star hotel. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. The showers had great hot water and good pressure, too. We asked for extra towels and pillows and got them right away. The staff were like family by the time we left. They all bent over backwards to make us feel welcome and comfortable! We ate at breakfast buffet for 5 euros each which was a bargain. We loved eating at their restaurant in front of hotel facing the marina. We tried 3 other recommended restaurants and they couldn't beat Miramar's great paellas, calamari and tapas. Their ice cream desserts were amazing as well! God willing, we'll return. Thanks to Marti, Javi, Elena and Carlos for treating us like familia!
