Set in the south west part of Illinois, this lodge was built by the Civilian Conseervation Corps 1933-1939. The lodge has a family style restaurant with a reasonable pirced menu c/w a selection for children. We ordered the fried chicken, not knowing that this place is well known for this dish. It is no wonder, it was delicious! Portions are more than generous and most people left with containers carrying the extras that could not be eaten.
