We enjoyed the lodge and the grounds...the trees we spectacular on our stay of Nov 7th. The lodge is a beautiful CCC built building from the 1930s and is a sight to see unto itself. We also had dinner in the dining room and it was quite good. The people at the front desk were great also.
So for the not so good we stayed in room 227 in the old section of the lodge...the room was huge and nice....however, the bed was amongst the worst we have ever experienced....it needs to be replaced...I would have rated this stay a 5 if the bed had been of excellent quality but it was just not acceptable....we checked out a day early and went on down the road...More
