This property is fantastic! The rustic cottages are a perfect place to sit back and relax. We visit every year for Valentine's day and have never had a bad experience. Grafton is the perfect place to Eagle watch in the winter and the deer were grazing right outside our door. The view is wonderful and the staff is very friendly.

I don't know where to start. This was our first time to a B & B and where my husband proposed. I can't think of a more beautiful place for that to have happened. It was March at sunset on the deck of the main house at Tara Point. We had the entire house to ourselves that evening and it was beautiful. We played pool, drank coffee, relaxed, and just took it all in. The innkeeper was the nicest man and served us an amazing breakfast the next morning. He told us many wonderful stories about the history of the inn and the amazing town of Grafton. We were treated to an amazing tour of the inn. It was all beautiful. We will definitely be back again. We hope to try out one of the cottages next time. They looked amazing too.

We went here for our anniversary. The cabins are beautiful and the view is awesome! It was incredibly hot and humid out, but we still sat out on the porch watching the birds, deer, raccoons, barges and river. It was incredible! I did not want to leave. I would definitely go back! They cabin even had binoculars!

AHHHHH! What can I say about Tara Point Inn? My husband and I discovered it several years ago sitting on a point overlooking the confluence of the rivers. What a view they have!
What surprises us is that very few people know it exists! Three rooms a the inn ( two with fabulous views) and 8 cottages that are roomy, private, and romantic! Woodburning fireplaces, mini kitchens, a huge bedroom with king beds, and a double jacuzzi tub!
Each cottage has a great private porch with killer views. The inn is perfect for those traveling in groups, but otherwise would recommend the cottages for the privacy aspect alone. The advantage to the inn is that you get a beautiful deck, and shared game room along with a very nice breakfast. At the cottages the only breakfast is english muffins, and bagels. Something hot would be nice, but it's the only negative I can say. Winter customers enjoy the eagle watching which this area is known for. Lots of places to eat nearby and did I mention the three wineries in walking distance?! What a find. Pricey, but worth it. You'll swear you're looking at a multimillion dollar view in California. But shhhhhh! don't tell anyone! We don't want to share this gem with too many people!

We spent one night in the Dogwood Cottage D1, the wheelchair accessible cottage. It was awesome! I was glad to see all the neccessary accomidations for a person in a wheelchair, such as I am; highseat toilet, handheld sprayer & bench added to back of 2 person whirlpool tub, rails, ramp leads into back of cottage, bed easy to get in/out. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
We enjoyed our Birthday surprise evening together! The neighbors in other cottages were enjoying their view from their decks & were very friendly as we checked out the view from the path in front of their cottage. It's true, the view is basicly identical from every room! The view was fantastic from the deck, sitting room, & bedroom as well. The cottages are well constructed so to be quiet. We never heard a peep from the cottage room next door. An occasional motorcycle (which we actually enjoy) & music from the neighboring salloon on Main Street. Nothing like "dancing" on the deck!!! Then peace & quiet all night. Slept well in the HUGE bed, TVs & movies in both sitting room & bedroom too. Selection of books to read were a very nice added touch! Breakfast consisted of HUGE blueberry muffins, english muffins, bagels, juice, & all the fixins was provided in our fridge waiting for morning. Even a selection of sodas & microwave popcorn.
We witnessed a DEER slowly walking toward the main house. We wondered if the previous owners ever fed them. We spent most the time on the deck enjoying the view relaxing with wine from Piasa Winery, the local winery on Main St. We had lunch at O'Jans & shopped at the Metal Shop. We love Grafton & are frequently there but this was our first stay at Tara Point. Maybe next time we'll stay LONGER!!!
