“Romiley's Brilliant Coffee Shop”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 28, 2013

Stayed in August at brother’s house in Romiley, and Polocini became our favourite coffee shop in Romiley. Living overseas in Asia, we like to drink ice coffee and too few places that we’ve visited in the north of England just do not do an ice coffee. Try Polocini’s ice coffee (Frappuccino as they call it) – delicious. Our kids liked the hot chocolate. This is not just a cyclists cafe, though of course cyclists form their core clientele, it is open to everyone. Had the pleasure of being there on a Sunday mid-morning and listening to the cyclists chatting – was very impressed with the Yorkshire cyclists who had cycled over via winnits pass (Castleton), and were having coffee and huge chunks of cake at Polocini before heading back. Easy too find at the mouth of the street opposite Romiley Forum. Try it, you’ll like it.

“Mecca for cyclists”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 22, 2013

The place to go if you want to see lots of lycra and hear heroic tales of conquering the Snake Pass.

I know that the taste of coffee is subjective - I like mine strong and full of flavour and found the Americano a little bland for my taste. Mrs ST was happy with her cappucino.

For lovers of strong Italian coffee I recommend Deli Cofano, a concession at Brookside Garden Centre Poynton, about 4 miles away.

“Not just for cyclists!”

Great little cafe that welcomes anyone, not just cyclists. Great outside seating for sunny days (and baby buggies!). Friendly staff and great tea and cake.

“Ride and refuel.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 14, 2013

A great place to either start your ride or call in during/after for some refuelling!!
Cakes certainly do feature highly here but you can also be served up some very healthy salads and sandwiches etc etc if you feel a bit hungry and do not want anything sweet. Non cyclists also frequent the coffee shop purely out of fascination of the cycling themed cafe and to chat away with those who are weary after a hard slog on the road.

Good service, good quality food and planned events make this a great place to stop and meet like minded people in a friendly atmosphere.
