This place has a reputation for great food. The long line to get in is a testament to that fact. Once inside, you won't be disappointed...just "stuffed" when you leave. ;-)

If I posted a review for every time I have gone to Walker Brothers, you would think I am an employee. The reason I return is service, food and prices. The menu is outstanding and I only have about 10 favorites. On top of that the service is very attentive, caring and polite. Just go there yourself and see if I am right.

We were out-of-town visitors who found this place from online reviews. It seems that Walker Brothers has staunch local loyalty. The restaurant had a 20 minute wait when we came on a Sunday morning around 10 AM. The tables are smallish and it is crowded. We were comfortable. Ordered pancakes, orange juice, coffee, and egg white omelette. I had the spinach omelette which was perfectly cooked: not too greasy or salty, fluffy and delicious. The servers were polite. Although more expensive than other pancake places, the size of servings and the quality of food made it worthwhile.

After coming to Walker Brs for over 30 years (Wilmette and Glenview) I have to say that even though it is still one of the best breakfast palaces around Chicago area -- the age starting to show. Gone are young cheerful teenagers from the nearby burbs who brought a lot of the atmosphere and charm to the place. The service is McDonald style- non-personal, plates in your face, move fast and leave your tip, volume style. And that is sad. Can U guys bring it back, please???
