“GORGEOUS even in the winter”
Reviewed January 2, 2014

This place is so gorgeous even in the winter! I was hesitant because it had been snowing, but to my surprise it was breathtaking. This place is HUGE and parking is kind of steep at $25. I would definitely come back here in Spring or Summer when everything is in bloom and again in Fall. Let's just say I'll be back every few months, BEAUTIFUL!!

“A Winter Wonderland”
Reviewed December 29, 2013

The Wonderland Express is a marvel miniature representation of Chicago made entirely of plant materials with numerous electric trains traveling throughout. It is especially of interest to Chicagoans who will recognize the many landmark buildings made from gourds, acorns, bark, etc. Artificial "snow" falls from the ceiling to add to the atmosphere. There is an interesting video presentation showing how the exhibit was put together.

“Great gardens (indoor too), fun events and beautiful”
Reviewed December 7, 2013 via mobile

We visit regularly. Every season is special. Winter greenhouses are amazing, spring is refreshing after a cold Illinois winter, summer explodes in color and autumn is awesome. Go anytime. You will enjoy it. If you can, grab a meal in the cafe or on the deck (in summer). Oh, the soup is homemade and fantastic.

“Beautiful place”
Reviewed December 1, 2013 via mobile

Visited for the first time ever for a illinois national guard ceremony. For us parking was free, but normally $25 per car. The gardens are beautiful. Very serene. I especially loved the japanese trees

“Beautiful Gardens”
Reviewed November 28, 2013

Located in Glencoe, IL this is an amazing array of gardens. Every season has something spectacular to offer. There is a waterfall garden, a Japanese garden, an English garden and more. During the summer there is a butterfly garden. The tram rides are excellent. They have a wonderful gift shop.
