we stay at the Finca for eleven days and we have a perfect attention, all are cleaned and all rooms, kitchen equipment. It's big and greatest, we are 15 persons and the accommodation was incredible, we will repeat without thinking. I recommended of course.

“Amazing relaxing holiday”
Reviewed August 26, 2017 for a stay in August 2017

We hired the house as 3 family's and what a perfect house for this there was plenty of space for all. The families to have there own space. The kids all loved it as they had plenty of space to play football swim or play cops and robbers. And bacauae the house clearly had families in mind we didn't have to stress to much about them breaking things as everything was sturdy and child friendly(ours were 2-12 years old)

The BBQ was great as was the dining space. There was plenty of space to keep your beerrs cold as well as your food and the pool bar was fantastic.

This house was great for just relaxing and spending time with friends and family. It was so peaceful the village was friendly although a traditional Spanish village which we loved. The football was still on AT the hard so the boys were happy.

I cannot fault the owners who couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating there local knowledge was so helpful and happy to answer any questions.

We will definatly coming back and reccomending this accommodation to anyone who will listen.

Thank for helping us make memories that will last forever

“Very rural”

We stayed as a group of 8 adults and 3 children for a week in July. Very reasonably priced and hosts Martin and Dawn could not have been more helpful in popping us to the supermarket and advising on places to eat, although it is only fair to point out that many of the eating establishments in the village were not open during the evening, Tonos was lovely, but not open until late evening which was not ideal with 3 young children. Punjabi palace was fabulous! The walk into the village is about 20 mins which again fine for adults but not suitable for young children, a car really is essential to get about. The pool and bar area are great and we spent much of our days here enjoying the weather,BBQ area also great. Main house with air con was also great but the cave part was a little damp and needed air con. We had the paella night at the villa, which was nice, although a little expensive. Bikes were a welcome addition to getting back and for! All in all we had a good holiday great if you want to chill in the villa, but as mentioned a car is an absolute necessity and probably not for you if you enjoy eating out and trying different restaurants or popping for a drink.

Thank you for the review Clare,( very rural) you will see from our Facebook live post we actually did a live stream and walked into the village, pushing a bike to act as a pram, the walk took me 8 minutes and 48 seconds, not sure were your 20 minutes and your group member 25 minutes comes from? We agree It is a slightly longer walk coming back to the Finca as it is slightly uphill, but it's good to walk the food and Tapas off, we do arrange as you are well aware, and you did not mention it in your review, After eating in Tonos one evening he gave you and all the party a lift back to the Finca the same as bar lotus did one evening after drinking in there,

regarding the walk to the village this can be viewed on our Facebook page and you can see how long it actually takes to ( it's not 20 minutes ) but do take your point it could be more challenging with young babies.

Regarding the claim it was a little damp and needs aircon in the cave house, we do warn all our guests to keep the cave door and windows closed obviously this stops the cool air meeting the warm air, especially in July, augusts and September it seems you chose to ignore this advice, if you see other guests reviews regarding the cave they seem to think it was a nice cool atmosphere, but I presume most of the time they kept the main door of the cave closed, we do provide fans in the cave and the main house. As far as Iam aware Caves do not need aircon. I walked into the cave last week after the doors were shut and i immediately felt cooler air once inside, I'm sorry you didn't have the Same experience, but I think my explanation is why.

A car is not essential to get about there is a bus station in the village with hourly buses to orihuela from there the train takes you along to Murcia or Alicante, we had one previous guest with a few young children who made it to both places and even Cartagena, but with a car I agree much quicker to get about, some of your party paid 200 euros for a taxi ride to a local water park ? Then complained after on social media about the price, i would have thought a 2 day car hire for 60 Euros would have been much more cost effective or even asked us regarding transport to a water park, there is a local 14 seater minibus and driver that could have been hired much cheaper to transport you to the water park and back but we were not asked during your stay. Some guests come to the Finca and dont want to travel about, some do so they hire cars to explore the region, if you are staying local a car is not essential, as you are aware we take our guests shopping during the stay to save trying to carry a big shop, as in your group 11 people, we don't mind offering this as it makes the stay much easier if you don't have a car and want to just chill out and enjoy the village and Finca.

You claim it's not for you if you want to pop out for a drink or eat out of an evening

These are the places we're you can pop out for a drink or have a coffee during the day or an evening, I must point out some of them do Shut earlier but not all

After the paella night we are glad you enjoyed it, served poolside with plenty over for the next day, including the home made sangria, we have now reduced the costs after seeing your review. But nothing was mentioned about the costs when we discussed it before hand including the costs, maybe we could have revised it at the time of booking it with us.

We are glad in all you had a good holiday and you were great guests and respected our Finca and we thank all your party for this

Sometimes the Finca just doesn't suit some parties, we do make it clear what the village of la murada is like and what it has to offer, it's not a tourirst hot spot and we make this clear, it's a proper Spanish working village surrounded by orange, lemon and olive trees it has wonderful friendly people and it's very safe.

We love it and we have had several repeat guests who keep coming back to stay at our Finca, one guest has even bought a holiday home for themselves not too far away in the next village

“Be informed”
Reviewed August 14, 2017 for a stay in August 2017

Main villa was great, cave house is not cold as described, its humid and damp. Villa is 25 minutes walk to town uphill on way back if you've got a pram, hard work in 30 degree heat. Although a few restaurants advertised only 1 open at night to eat a full
Menu or the Indian or a bar with 'burger or salad.' Very quiet Spanish town lovely if you this is what you want, but if you like to stroll in for a coffee and a look around not possible. Martin was very helpful answers all our questions and gave us lifts to the supermarket, thank you. A car is essential without doubt, 1 bus a day, or pay 200€ for a taxi to the water park like we did! In summary if you stay in the main house with the AC have a car or all you want is to totally relax and eat in the villa each night this is great. If you like to eat out, explore different restaurants areas then it's not for you.

Thank you for the review Rob corfield we do take constructive Criticism and respond to it proactive and try and improve the Finca, our Finca and village is clearly advertised on all platforms accurately, yes it’s not Benidorm or touristy but I still cant understand that I was in your company for the paella evening, cleaned the pool regular during your stay, paid a few visits to the Finca, run you up and down the supermarket at least 10 times, one time waiting for 45 minutes while your party shopped but you never once mentioned nothing about the cave being damp !! Or The restaurant complaint, not sure where you mean about the burger and salad? I have addressed most of the points you complain about with Clare who booked the Finca and was in your party, but I will address them again

you will see from our Facebook live post we actually did a live stream and walked into the village, pushing a bike to act as a pram, the walk took us 8 minutes and 48 seconds, in 98f heat, not sure were your 25 minutes comes from? It is a slightly longer walk coming back as it is slightly uphill we accept that, you being a fireman and presumably physically fit it should take you the same as me pushing a pram, I’m not that fit for but there is a big difference in what you claim, you will see other past guests disagree with your 25 minute walk after I posted it on the Finca Facebook page, they all seemed to agree on a 10 minute walk one guest with 3 very young kids and 2 prams.

We agree It is a slightly longer walk coming back to the Finca as it is slightly uphill, but it is good to walk the food and Tapas off, we do arrange as you are well aware, and you did not mention it in your review, After eating in Tonos one evening he gave you and all your party a lift back to the Finca the same as bar lotus did one evening after drinking in there, regarding the walk to the village this can be viewed on our Facebook page and verified

For the avoidance of doubt I’d say it’s an easy 10 minute walk into the village and 15 minute walk back as it is a bit longer being uphill

Regarding the claim it was a little damp and humid in the cave house, we do warn all our guests to keep the cave door and windows closed this stops the cool air meeting the warm air, you chose to ignore this, if you see other guests reviews regarding the cave they seem to think it was a nice cool atmosphere, but they kept the main door closed, we do provide fans in the cave and the main house free of charge. I went into the cave the end of august, we had guest in at the time, the outdoor temperature was 97f when I entered the cave I could feel the cool atmosphere hitting me, the doors and windows in the cave were shut.

You claim a car is essential without doubt !! For 7 days (same as you booked) a car is not essential to get about, you claim only 1 bus a day leaves the village ? there is a bus station in the village with more than hourly buses to orihuela from there the train takes you along to Murcia or Alicante, we had one previous guest with a few young children who made it to both places and even Cartagena, but with a car I agree much quicker to get about and explore the region. you complain you paid 200 euros for a taxi ride to a local water park ? Some guests come to the Finca and dont want to travel about, some do so they hire cars to explore the region, if you are staying local a car is not essential, as you are aware we take our guests shopping during the stay to save carrying a big shop back to the Finca, as in your group 11 people, we don't mind offering this as it makes the stay much easier, if you don't have a car and want to just chill out and enjoy the village and Finca. We are glad in all you had a good holiday Sometimes the Finca just doesn't suit some parties, maybe you didn’t like mixing with the locals or trying a bit of communication with the bar owners to order food, we are always on hand to help by either booking tables for you or even telling the bar owners you will be in for a meal, what meals can they have etc we do make it clear what the village of la murada is like and what it has to offer, it's not a tourirst hot spot and we make this clear, it's a proper Spanish working village surrounded by orange, lemon and olive trees it has wonderful friendly people and it's very safe. We love it and we have had several repeat guests who keep coming back to stay at our Finca, one guest has even bought a holiday home for themselves not too far away in the next village as they liked the area that much

I do think your review is not an accurate reflection of the Finca or the village of La Murada and other TripAdvisor reviews seem to only have positive things to say about the Finca, the cave and the village of La Murada which are very accurate, I presume these past guests made an effort to communicate with the locals, get some pointers from us and they thoroughly enjoyed there time here

Reviewed July 30, 2017 for a stay in July 2017

A great place to stay and relax, everything you need at hand. Town about a 20 min walk away with great tapas bars (and Sangria) everyone very friendly, market day on a Sunday which has lots to see. Went with a group of great girls and had a super time our second time around so shows how good the Finca is, and booked up for next year.
