Description: Casual dining with sophisticated hospitality. American food with an Italian twist, fresh prepared everyday! 78 wine bottle list, 45 global wines by the glass, hand crafted fresh cocktails, 38 item beer craft list. Reservations not accepted, we do offer a "call ahead, priority wait list" which you can call days and weeks in advance to get on, highly recommend to reduce wait times. Seating preference is given to elderly, pregnant woman, families with babies and local regular customers as a courtesy. Very family friendly local restaurant. My family of five went there recently and after an extensive wait we were seated at a booth with a chair stuck at the end. Needless to say my daughter in the chair was constantly knocked by wait staff. We asked the hostess if we could move to a nearby table that sat six and she said that was fine. After we ordered drinks and appetizers we were told by the owner Michael that we could not sit there. We explained that the other table was too small and he said "either move or leave the restaurant". WE WILL NEVER GO BACK

We have brought several friends to F&W because its an all around great experience. Service is some of the best I've experienced, always pleasant & friendly. Food is very good, pizzas are very much like you would get in Italy (southern)

One of the best restaurants I have been to in years. They have it all; great service, OUTSTANDING menu with some of the best food I have tasted. If you are looking for a great casual restaurant in the west suburbs - make sure you try Flour & Wine. It is worth it!!!

We've been wanting to try this place for months. FINALLY got it on our calendar with another couple who had already gone & really liked it. Annoyance #1, I know it's "trendy" for places in "high demand", but just seat us even tho the rest of the party is soon to arrive. Your "waiting room" does not exist & the bar if it has 10 people in it is already overfull. So, we finally got sat, it was a busy Saturday night (no, they do not take reservations for some reason, Seriously?) Annoyance #2. Place was packed w/ families etc. Good sign. Our waitress was super friendly & rather efficient. Maybe too efficient, let us sit down & look at menu B4 asking 4 our drink selection. Wine & beer list was pretty good. Being a foodie "wannabe" and lover all things beet. The "local" beet salad called out 2me. Since it was Feb., I was curious where "local" beets might come from. Waitress had no clue. The curly haired owner stopped by (which is always a nice touch). Sure, HE would know where his food comes from. Not a clue! (Annoyance #3) Maybe taken aback by my hard hitting question about his menu, he boasted (annoyance #4) of his investor's ownership of a food distribution company worth millions. Really? How does that answer my question? Lastly, check for typos in your menus... (annoyance #5). Underwhelming to say the least. The food was good, not great. Prices were decent.

We moved here in January and even before the move had been advised this was the place in Glen Ellyn to check out... What a treat to have such a quality place that we can walk to from our home. There is a wait most nights but we enjoy arriving around 4-5pm, sitting in the bar area, enjoying craft beers, daily special cocktails. Don't miss the zucchini fries, lightly battered and fried, the best. Pizzas are good. They can make some of their dishes gluten free... Take out available too. Staff is relaxed, friendly but not slow.
