Last year we found ourselves in front of Preservation Bread and Wine while looking for another restaurant, but after looking at their menu we changed our mind and stopped inside. Since then we've been coming to Preservation regularly for the fantastic food, ambiance, and of course the wine! Their selections for wine are excellent and pair well with the food suggested. They also recently expanded so there is more seating available than previously (which sometimes was too crowded to get inside). When you find your favorite wine, be sure to ask for a bottle to go. Bottles taken home are half-off the menu price!

Of all the restaurants in Geneva, this is one of my favorites. It is a small place with limited seating and a small bar. I think it feels like a European cafe - close tables, eclectic menu, and great service. Ordering wine is a must - they have a great selection. For this visit we ordered a sampling of cheese and the recommendation was perfect. We ordered small casseroles that we shared - my favorite was the mushroom and cheese. The entire evening was a delight - it is a must stop when in Geneva. And the location is great too - on the famous Third Street. There is a parking garage right by the train and street parking as well. Next time you're in Geneva - put Preservation on your list. You won't regret it.

Love the choices, preparation and presentation of some of the most delicious small, sharing plates you will find. Servers are professional, very friendly and knowledgeable. Owner has done a fantastic job with all-season room that is cozy warm in the cold weather months and open and airy once it gets warmer. Each time we go, we are surprised by yet another great change that adds to the ambiance and warmth of this charming place. Nice selection of wines. All around, one of our go-to places.

This was our second visit.
While there for dinner we saw the notice about the October Wine Dinner and decided to try it.
We had the best time with our friends and met new friends at the October Wine Dinner. I thought the wilted kale +apple& red cabbage slaw + zamorano salad was the best. We gobbled up our tasty piquillo pepper+white anchovy crostini. I could not taste the anchovy maybe they could have used more.
Definitely the tiny crock of wonderful bratwurst stew should have been served in larger portions.
On the normal menu I recommend the salmon potato stew.
