Making a night stop off I80, this place offered neon welcoming lights..and availability a little later at night. While there were brightly painted wooden booth backs from Mexico, the rest of the ambience is not so much....but the dishes we ordered were tasty and very authentic. We didn't order the typical "combo" and were rewarded with platos that could easily have come to us in a seaside beach restaurant on the Yucatan. Grilled fish (not battered and fried) with a lime twist, fresh veggies, rice and guacamole was quite lite yet satisfying. The other dish was carnitas - pork chunks in tomatillos/green sauce. MOST yummy. The margaritas was refreshing but only mildly hinting of tequila. The menus was divrse with more "traditional" dishes and if you crave those bottled sodas from Mexico, "jarritos," you can get tamarind!
