I have relatives that call it "The Hog Trough, and I agree. Inevitably, I have to set aside a plate or more because they are dirty, often times flatware is dirty. That can make a person extremely sick. Our Health Dept. doesn't seem to visit restaurants in Galesburg or there would be changes, I have seen nasty things go on here. Once a customer put spaghetti noodles on his plate and part went off the side of the plate so he took his hands and pulled it off and put it back in the pan. Another time, a lady held a boy up while he shoved his hands down into all the candy pans of ice cream toppings, I have seen women leave restrooms and not wash their hands and then touch spoon handles, etc. I order off the grill & watch what I can. The restaurant should have an employee watch the buffet stations to try and keep customers safe.
