This was our first time in Galena as well as our first time staying at a Bed and Breakfast. We really enjoyed our time at the Green Briar. It was close enough to walk to the shops downtown which was perfect because there is NO parking downtown! We stayed in a suite which was very spacious and the bed was super comfy. The continental breakfast was perfect and we were quite full after indulging in all those baked goods! The only negative to our trip were some loud guests staying upstairs from us. We could hear their entire conversation! I think if they were speaking at a regular volume it wouldn’t have been an issue, but on a romantic getaway the last thing we wanted to hear was noisy neighbors. Other than that, we enjoyed every minute! Thanks Green Briar, we will be back!

My wife and I have stayed here every year for the last 4 years. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. There is a picnic table on a deck where we were able to eat and play cards. The banana bread they bring to the room every morning is the best I have ever had. I highly recommend this B&B to anyone staying in the Galena area.

Room Tip: Room numbers 8 and 9 are the best.

We went to Galena for a girlfriend getaway and stayed at Greenbriar Inn because they offered a 1-night availability (compared to the 2-night minimum that most of the other B&Bs have). We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the Inn turned out to be for the low price that we paid. The rooms were small, but very pretty and clean, with all necessary amenities. Private bathroom/shower in each room. Nice breakfast offered in the morning. Complimentary coffee/tea/water offered all day long. The hostess was very accomodating and pleasant. The Inn was a short walk to Main street, but yet tucked away from the noise and traffic. Would come back!

We happened on the Greenbriar when given a referral by the Farmers Guest House across the street. We were very pleased with our experience. We aren't big bed and breakfast people, but we were very happy with the charming, private accommodations. The luxury suite we stayed in was in a seperate building from the owner's home. That was a plus for us because we liked the privacy without feeling like we were intruding. The suite was beautifully decorated and very clean. It was so convenient to be able to walk downtown and not have to worry about parking, which is limited. We could get anywhere downtown in 15 minutes. The owners were very welcoming and even gave us a personal check-in by meeting us at the room and showing us the ammenities and how everything worked. We will go back again!

We love going into Galena and we stay at the Greenbriar all the time. The owners are very nice and helpful with whatever you need. We actually got married at the Greenbriar 3 yrs ago and we had a carrage ride to take us and the wedding party to dinner. Bob actually went out on to the rode to stop traffic and help the carriage get on the road. We have stayed in the Inn and in the suites and both were very enjoyable experiances. The rooms are nicely decorated, although some of the pictures do not quite fit the decore. The location is close enough to downtown that you can walk there, which is really nice because parking downtown can be a pain. I would recommend this bed and breakfast to everyone.

Room Tip: the rooms in the back of the buildings are quiter than in the front of the buildings. Not so much tr...

My husband & I really enjoyed our suite. The basket of breakfast delivered to our door was my favorite part! The room was comfortable, clean & charming. We liked the location since it was within walking distance to main street. I just wish the whirlpool tub was a bit bigger.

We have stayed at the Greenbriar Inn & Suites before and were happy to return there. It is our favorite place in Galena for many reasons - it is walking distance to town, the rooms are beautiful, and Bill has a great breakfast. He delivered a big basket ot goodies - homemade bread, muffins, juices, assorted fruits and more, yummy. The Inn provides a great place for a family gathering or a group of friends with beautiful rooms This is not your cookie cutter motel type, each room has character and charm. We'll be coming back again.

Room Tip: A couple of rooms are close to the road and a bit noisy if you are a light sleeper, but there are pl...
