We've been to the Golden Hen a number of times. It is a newly opened and nicely redecorated breakfast and lunch place where the old Galena Cafe was.
My wife is a great fan of the omelets; she thinks they're the best we've had in the US - light and fluffy. The last visit we were at the counter and watched them being made - tossed in the omelet pan multiple times, maybe that has something to do with it. Actually watching the cooking is entertainment in itself - no wasted motion in getting food ready. We've never been there when the place wasn't full so that's important. I'd recommend a skillet (a variety of choices of mix over crispy potatoes). The orange juice comes from real oranges (they squeeze it there). We're locals and, right now, we'd rate this the best place for breakfast in Galena. Haven't had the lunch yet but by all reports it's great (both in quality and quantity) as well.
I'd also note that the service is very good (a number of servers from other restaurants seem to be finding their way there). The owner is in evidence and makes sure that everything looks good on the way to the table, as well as going around with coffee.
