We booked a Groupon lunch here as a Christmas present to each other. We showed our confirmation booking on our phone. This was not good enough, and they sent us home to get the confirmation email. Then when we came back they also asked us to ring Groupon. By this stage we had been waiting an hour before even ordering! Our 1pm main meal finally arrived at 2.30pm. My husband ordered barramundi, and the meal consisted of one half of a plain fillet, no sauce, and a green salad. We will not be returning

The best of this place was the lovely smile of the waitress. The Prawn Risotto wouldn't attract much appetite. The Barramundi skin was salty but the meat was tasteless, and the salad wasn't a good companion on the plate. We booked with Groupon which included a 2 course meal with a wine or soft drinks, but found out half a piece of bread each was one course; and when a coffee was cheaper than a glass of wine they went by the rules and refused to swap it. Without the friendly service they would have got 1 star only.

This was an interesting experience. When we walked up after passing several crowded restaurants, The Peppertree was almost empty. After we were seated within 15 minutes the place was full.
We were greeted promptly and placed our drink orders. The server had to return to check which wine we ordered, which was our first inclination she was new or unfamiliar with the menu. One of our party ordered sirloin steak but when it came out it was the flank steak.
Throughout the meal I watched the chef have to come out and get the wine we had ordered for the server, he had to come out and replace the credit card receipt paper, and finally when the hostess took a reservation for four he came out to show her how to put two small tables together to seat four.
The food was mediocre, the service very confused. But the worst thing was the uncleanliness of the table. Anytime I picked up my water or wine glass it stuck for a second. Made me wonder what the kitchen was like.

The service was nice but we waited a long time between entree and main. Main grilled Barra salad and hand cut chips was lovely, the steak sandwich my companion had assures me was good.
We ate our meal inside and with the time we waited for our mains could see the premises could do with a paint and overhaul. The premises is licensed.
It was Ok but I wouldn’t be going back too quickly.
