“Hearty Meal after Skydiving”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 16, 2012

We were recommended to this place by the good fellas at Ripcord Skydiving, about 10mins car ride from this establishment. The cafe is quaint, beautiful surroundings, an interesting gift shop and also a post office. It felt like home, I had the Barracappa Burger while my partner had the beef burger. the portions is perfect for lunch and the coffee was excellent as well.

So glad we were recommended here! Not too far from this place, go check out Lake Dyer!

“Like stepping into another world!”

Had a day out with my sister and called in for afternoon tea. What a lovely surprise to find fabulous food and a great gift shop in a little country town so close to Toowoomba.

“Delicious!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 6, 2012

We're locals and were switched onto Cafe 4342 by friends. We've visited several times now, each meal delicious and better than the last. We love the Degustation nights where you're able to sample absolutely mouthwatering food combinations over several courses, with a wine to suit each course! Service here is not what's typically offered in the Valley - it's friendly, efficient and smooth - no lackadaisical attitude from the servers here! Lovely ambience, the gift shop surroundings are a bonus, but it's the food that keeps us coming back... the penne pasta with pesto parmesan and macadamia prawns are superb. Coffee's great, the rich inviting aroma of freshly ground beans greets you as you enter, desserts hard to go by even after a 7-course dinner - try and resist anything on display in the dessert fridge! Chef Keith's combinations of flavours are original, very tasty and have you looking forward to each meal. Meal presentation is unique and shows the chefs flair for creativity. Our vegie friends love the choices given, and everyone leaves happy, even thinking that they hope what they'd seen on their partner's plate on this visit will be available next time for themselves (speaking from experience!)

Now we don't have to crave a night out in Brisbane, we can visit Cafe 4342 here in our little hideaway in the Lockyer Valley.. delicious!

“A little gem in the country”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 20, 2012

About one hour west of Brisbane is a little gem of a cafe sitting backstage of the local post office. With a vast menu of choice, I always find the service and the food to be top class. Presentation is excellent as well and the food is great value for money. They cater very well for any dietary requirements. The atmosphere is eclectic, being surrounded by a huge variety of giftware, jewellery, cards and all sorts of knick knacks that will keep you browsing happily long after your dessert has reached its resting place on your hips! A large covered alfresco area provides variety if you are an outdoors person. It is just as popular with locals as it is with visitors to the area. Well done Richard and Heather!
