We have been to The Cove many times over the years, with this visit being the first for about 5 years.

Still as good as ever, very good service, food well presented with authentic indian tastes.

the only negatives is access from the road and parking is limited.

I have always been keen to book this resturant for a special occasion, because it looks inviting when you drive passed on Canning Highway Attadale.

I was very disappointed with the welcome as we walked up the steps opened a huge door, across the verandah down the long hallway and not a welcome in sight.

Eventually 2 reluctant waiters? looked at us and we informed them that we had a booking for the evening. I had requested a "special" table as it was a very special occasion.

Yes, a table for 2 next to the thick plastic sheet, looking out onto a huge thing covered in black plastic or shade cloth. Maybe it was a spa?
Not a good look at all, very ugly.

The food was a la carte this evening. We enjoyed the flavour of the food, though it was not the best Indian meal we had sampled in Perth. A generous amount of sauce, but we had to search for the beef and chicken cubes.

The welcome and the ambience leaves room for improvement, as does the view through the thick plastic sheet.

We went back to an old fave of ours this weekend - The Cove - we have had some great meals there in the past so we were excited about the prospect of a great night out. What a disappointment - we chose the buffet. Most of the different curries looked the same, plenty of sauce and sparse on the meat. So with our plates of sauce and rice we tucked in. Dessert was limited and the best option was the standard ice cream - no green tea. That wasn't the worst bit - that came that night and the next day - both myself and my partner fell ill, it was like having a mega hangover except we are tee-totallers. Dehydrated, head aches, indigestion, nausea and a dullness for a good 24 hrs. Not sure what was in that curry but I will never go there again.

We booked to go for a social dinner arrangement with a couple of friends to the COVE Indian Restaurant In Attadale Perth. To our great disappointment we were not informed when we booked that the food buffet closes at 9.00p.m. on a Saturday night, apparently as the manager said " a typical occurrence in most Perth restaurants." We booked our table for 8.00 pm. So we could relax, eat, I drink and enjoy a stunning night with friends. By the time we got round to deciding on either the Al La Carte Menu or the buffet, it was 8.30. Unbeknown to us the buffet was closing at 9.00pm. Before we could finish eating we were approached by one of the waitresses, who asked us if we wanted more from the buffet as they were about to close. We felt very uncomfortable and told them they could close. We then decided to have dessert and once again were approached, this time by management to ask us if we had finished as they wanted to take everything away. The time was only 940 on a Saturday night. Quite taken a back by their request, we voiced our opinions in a nice way, enquiring as to why we were not informed that they close so early. The manager became rude, quite aggressive and verbally abusive to us. This restaurant is an absolute no no in our books. For the price of meals you pay in Perth rather spend your money in a restaurant where your presence and money is appreciated and welcomed, instead of having to deal with the rudeness and arrogance of management and staff who feel they are doing you a favour by allowing you to eat in their restaurant. What a shame ?
