I had the dim sum here and it was fairly good. It comes close to Chinatown except a little more expensive. I guess the amount you save in gas goes towards the cost of the meal. They not only have dim sum, but also regular Chinese food from different regions of China as well as sushi. The bar is excellent.

Nice local option. Creative asian dining with a nice variety of sushi. The bar has great drink specials and very reasonably priced small plates. You can have a drink and 2 small plates for $10 in the bar. The resturant is fast and casual and always good with either the tradtional fare or sushi.

We dined here years ago and liked it. This week we loved it. Great menu with too many choices. Do not be afraid to ask questions. Everything is incredible. Chinese food and sushi and Asian fusion. Terrific wait service. Every table occupied. No one rushed us to leave. Appetizers are worth sharing as well as the main course. Go ahead and make it over to Koi.

Last time, I downgraded my review due to poor service. Last night, Tuesday, the place was packed and the 4 of us had a wonderful time! Food as usual was superb. We are all world travelers and felt we are lucky to have a restaurant of this quality in Evanston. Carlos, the busboy last time who was super attentive, was our super attentive, well trained waiter this time. It is a beautiful restaurant with a fireplace (and tables by the fireplace for cold, rainy evenings like last night). Hostess greeted us warmly, took our coats to hang in the front closet, we had $2.50 appetizers at the bar and the best mai tais around. Others liked their house chardonnay. At 6:30, moved in to the dining room for dinner. Shared walnut shrimp, lamb, basil beef, and seafood platter with peapods. Another round of drinks. Total bar _ dinner $95/couple including 20% tip. This time, waiter (Carlos) was prompt, accurate, friendly, included serving spoons for the shared platter, made room on the table, helped with my husband's walker, and, our table qualified for the 20% KOI contribution to the Evanston Symphony, their monthly charity. Susan Chen, the owner, answered an e-mail query personally about our reservation. We had a really lovely time.
