I am not sure whether Koi is an independent - it reminded me of PK Chang or one of those large chains. It is dark, noisy, high ceilings, loud sushi bar. The menu says three star super-spicy... but the food wasn't all that spicy. For ordinary run of the mill Asian, it was convenient and pretty good. The service was excellent - our waiter was young and friendly and made some good drink recommendations. I would go back.

A wide selection of Asian cuisine is offered, including sushi and food from various regions of China. Portions were large, prices reasonable. Service was great. Very satisfied.

We were seated upon arrival and attended to promptly. Two of us ordered sushi while the two men ordered from the Chinatown menu. Their sushi was excellent..both of us ladies enjoyed it. Both men were disappointed with their selections. We were all impressed with our desserts. Who would have thought that an Asian Fusion restaurants would have a gluten free dessert for me! The meal took about an hour and a half and we did notice that there were quite a few people waiting as we left leaving me feeling that on a Saturday night a reservation for 7PM or earlier is the way to go.

We have been dining there for about two years. The dinning room always look cozy but not crowded. The owner seems have a touch of oriental culture. They updated menu at least twice in the last two years, now it's classified by geographic characters of the dishes. Menu looks fancier but the selection was actually limited, and the cook seems changed in the last couple of months, most of the dishes were ended up too salty. For the first time we had to ask they to recook duck because it's all covered by soy sauce and barely you can give it a bite without getting dry throat right away. We may check back months later, hopefully by then the food is back to where it used to be and the menu if any more updates coming, can be a bit less fancier but offering more varieties of food.

Made reservations for 8pm and still waited for 30 minutes as the place was packed. They apologized for the wait and gave a couple of complimentary appetizers which somehow still ended up on our bill until we brought it up to the waiter's attention. He apologized and removed the charges. Drinks were very good as was the Sushi specials. Nice presentation that probably requires bigger table space. The main courses were good but not great. Next time we'll just stick with sushi and rolls. Overall the experience was good.
