“Don't stay here!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 19, 2009

We came here mainly to use the pool, because we heard it had a nice pool. The pool area itself was nice, and the pool was large and warm, but the temperature around the pool area was freezing. The hot tub did not work, and the management seemed unaware of it. The television was hard to see through all the interference. The continental breakfast was supposed to be open until 10, but when we got there at 9 there was one muffin left, and a few slices of dried out bread. There was nowhere to sit in the breakfast area and it was freezing. It also wasn't the cleanest place. The only good thing about this place is the pool, until you get out. The night manager was nice.

I stayed at this hotel in October 2008 for 4 nights. I booked it because the price was good for a 2-3 star hotel.

I found the heated indoor swimming pool to be excellent.

"Spaghetti Warehouse" across the street had very good food.

For "continental breakfast" they had two paper bags with doughnuts form Dunkin' Doughnuts, and Regular Coffee and Decaf Coffee. That was it.

Jacuzzi did not work.

The rooms seemed old, and the air conditioner/heater about ready to fall apart. (I had requested a remodeled room, but it didn't look remodeled)

Shuttle drives every hour. If you want to be picked up at the airport, expect to wait at least 20 minutes.

Extremely difficult to find as it was signed as another hotel with just a Ramada banner over the old sign which had partly fallen off. Very bland foyer, self service luggage trollies at the door. No towels at the pool, you had to walk all the way back to the check-in for a towel. Very plain bland rooms but at least clean and tidy and a very poor breakfast, just dougnuts cookies and coffee, no cereals or baegels and no orange juice.

  • Liked — Close to O'hare airport
  • Disliked — Finding it , as it does not actually have a proper "Ramada" sign.
