We stay at the Roslin Hotel every June for the Southend Half Marathon and have always had a fantastic time - this year was no exception. They are always friendly and helpful as well being efficient and organised. This year we had a deluxe sea view room which was amazing. Very clean, cosy and relaxing. There were 10 of us for lunch on the Sunday and they were very accommodating as we had a few more people than we had booked for. Although they were extremely busy the service was very good. They also allowed us to use a few rooms to shower in after the half marathon. Definitely recommend the hotel and it's restaurant. Looking forward to next June a already.

Stayed for two nights .. Staff are welcoming and freindley .. stayed in single room which had a en suite shower room and well equiped . my bed was abit too soft for me .. and the room faced the carpark were heard all the going ons despite the notices in the carpark to keep quiet ...
however everything was lovely nicely presented .. freindly welcoming staff .. breakfast layout was amazing and equaly was tasty .. over all i defantly would go back

Room Tip: advice a seaview room or one not over looking the carpark .. but the standard of room does not fault

I brought my elderly Mum here for our annual "seeing the sea" weekend, and couldn't have been happier. The service was fantastic, rooms gorgeous with lovely fluffy towels and high quality finish and the staff always with a smile and offers of health. We ate in the restaurant twice and both times were very happy - fantastic quality and choice. I'd recommend it to anyone (and will...) and will be back.

Room Tip: Sea view of course. I had carpark, but this hardly matters.

This is what Southend has always needed, a top hotel with an excellent restaurant.

On arrival, we were fortunate to have our room upgraded by Jackie to an executive room offering great facilities including an enormous bed and a balcony which gave great views of the estuary.

In the afternoon we enjoyed a late lunch on the terrace which with the right weather is a wonderful sun trap.

If lunch was enjoyable, dinner in the main restaurant was even better - great views and superb food (agree with Lisa F about best steak around) with excellent attentive service (thanks Levi).

We will definitely be back.

This hotel is a gem, and ticks most of the boxes albeit that my seaview room was on the small side. It was however spotlessly clean, the beds were nice and comfortable affording a good nights sleep, and although the bathroom was compact it had good shelving space which accommodated all my necessary lotions and potions etc, with room to spare.

The restaurant is superb which made for a great dining experience, and the professional expertise of the chefs and ancillary staff was readily apparent. I actually chose this hotel due to a previous visit to the restaurant some years ago and I wasn't disappointed, as it remains a first class place to dine.
I found the staff to be competent & friendly I highly recommend both the hotel and restaurant, and I am sure you will enjoy your stay.

Room Tip: Go for a sea view and if your visit is of short duration, check out the Tide charts to maximise your...

Had an evening with friends at The Roslin. Enjoyed a beautiful meal - the best steak around - washed down with some classy wine. Much alcohol was enjoyed, in comfortable and relaxing environment. Staff as always were cheerful and helpful....from reception staff, waiters, bar staff and cleaners etc. All are a credit. We all spent the night in comfortable, spotlessly clean rooms and woke to clear our heads with a fantastic breakfast. Breakfast was packed out due to a wedding party, but the staff such as Emma & Angie worked tirelessly to keep everyone happy. Looking forward to another night at The Roslin as soon as possible. You just can't beat it!
