“Nibley Knob”
Reviewed December 16, 2013

You can easily access the Tyndale Monument (the pointy thing you can see on top of the hill from the M5 between J13 and J14) if you park near the church in North Niblley and walk up the public footpath opposite the church. It's a steep walk followed by quite a lot of steps up to the top of the hill, so not suitable for people with mobility issues. When you get there, there is a donations box at the entrance (which I think is for the National Trust) and you can climb to the top up circular steps all the way to the top of the tower for an amazing view. Wonderfully thrilling being able to ascend such an historic building, but I wouldn't recommend it on windy days - would be quite scary!

“What a view!”
Reviewed August 3, 2013 via mobile

Lovely steep walk up to monument which surprisingly was open. Small donation. Very worthwhile. Well maintained. Tyndale translated Bible into English in 1560s? And was put to death for it.
